Jake's Point Of View (surprised? 😏)

So I'mat Bella's house, Mrs. Owens was in the kitchen and Ally and Zach where somewhere in the house. Bella was holding my wrist, she was dragging me around her house. I decided to help Mrs. Owens.

"Hey Mrs. Owens, need a hand?" I asked

"Oh, you can put some plates, spoons, forks, napkins and knives at the table." She said handing them over.

I was about to put them on the table, untill Bella came and she placed them instead. Sometimes I don't get how Bella suddenly appears. Anyways, Since it's the day before Christmas, I have a gift for her. I bought it the other day when Bella left me, Gavin and Diana at Dairy Queen. My parents were coming to Bella's house so I decided to go ahead.

Time passed, The house was filled with Bella's relatives and her mom's friends. Some of Bella's girl cousins tried flirting with me but I did'nt say a word to them. I searched for Bella, I checked her room, the kitchen, her mom's room and the living room, but she was'nt there. I decided to check the backyard and finally I saw Bella sitting on the swinging bench. I took a deep breath and I sat beside her "Hey."

"hey.." she said softly.

There was some distance between us, I stared at her for sometime, she was shivering. I removed my jacket and put it on her. "Thanks." she said. She moved closer to me and I placed my arm on her waist and she layed down on my shoulder. Her hair smelled like peppermint. The stars shined above us and the people started counting down "5,4,3,2." The clock striked 12. And blue, green and red fireworks appeared in the sky, It was wonderful. Since the day I and Bella met, I had a crush on her. Diana knows about my little crush, she keeps telling me I don't have a chance with Bella but that didn't stop me. The fireworks were over but the stars were still shining. I smiled as I looked up at the sky and back at her.

"Bella." I said softly

"yeah?" she answered

"I.." I took a deep breath

"I like you.." I said

"not as a friend, more than that." I added , my palms got sweaty and my body got cold. Bella looked surprised

But I continued talking.

"Ever since the day we met, I had this crush on you. Diana knows about it but I told her not to tell you because I was waiting for the right time to tell you. I was about to tell you when we were at the skating rink but then you told us you have a boyfriend, Xavier. I even asked the manager of the skating rink to play a slow song while I confess to you. Then after a few months, you told us you two broke up, I decided to comfort you since then..." I could tell Bella was speechless..I let out a deep breath and got the small box from my jacket and gave it to her "so, Merry Christmas Bella." She took it from my hand and opened it and got the necklace out.

"Awww, thanks Jake. It's beautiful." Bella said. "My gift for you is inside"

"We can get it later, wanna put it on?" I asked

"sure." she turned around and I helped her lock it. The pendant letter B was sparkling. I looked at it and looked at her bright eyes. I place my hand on her cheek and kiss her softly. To be honest, this is my first kiss. I pull away "I love you Bella." I kiss her forehead. Our eyes met again "I love you too Jake." She smiled. Suddenly it got brighter, I looked at the door and saw Mrs. Owens, she was smiling. I looked at Bella again and saw her blushing, she looked cute. This is the best Christmas ever. We looked back at the sky and fireworks appeared again. But the fireworks were bigger and brighter than the ones earlier.
