And every person we need just keeps walking up to us.

'Don't tell me he's this Master Heldies's descan-' Jake began.
'He's him!' Zayla screamed, 'He has to be!'
I stared unblinkingly at the screaming girl,
'Zayla, calm down-'
Zayla turned her head to face the guy who was now standing in the same still position but had a comically weird look on his face.
'Do you know the name of your great great great great great grandfather or something?' She snapped.
'Uh, Zayla, have you lost your head from excessive studying? Or is it just Luke's overactive vibes that are rubbing off on you?' Tyler said.
'What?' Luke said skeptically.
'No, I'm just asking you a very genuine question. Reply with either a yes or a no.' Zayla said.

Now it was Tyler's turn to stare at her,
'Well then,' He said, 'No.' His tone was impatient, but it was hiding something behind the impatience.
I frowned at Zayla.

Zayla pursed her lips,
'Alright, okay,' She said slowly and slyly, 'If that's the thing then,' She paused and flipped open the forbidden book to a specific page and fingered a specific sentence, 'Read what's written.'
Tyler squinted for a second and very easily read,
'Old place comma, hard wall comma, cardboard, paper and black.'

My eyebrows rose. So did Jake's, and though Luke was confused, he too understood.
'Hah!' Zayla had a triumphant smile on her face.
'You can really read that?' I said, amazed.
Tyler Heldies nodded pleasantly, no more impatient.

There was no doubt then.

'Wow, okay. So you might just be his descandant.' I said, comprehensively.
'I don't really understand what you mean, but I'll be whatever you want me to be.' Tyler continued in his pleasant voice.
Okay, something was wrong with this guy?

'So what did you want Tyler?' Jake asked sternly.
'Oh I was just here to talk to Valerie.' He replied very easily.
'Why?' Jake repeated what I had asked.

Tyler frowned at him,
'Dude, will you please stay out of this?'
'What the- Who do you think-'
'Valerie, I'll just be a minute.' Tyler interrupted him and took my hand, gently making me rise and follow him.
Jake was slightly furious now.
'Uh-' I didn't have time to protest. Tyler was already leading me toward the exit. Jake was about to get up and grab Tyler when Zayla stopped him and threw him a "Have-some-patience-you-idiot-this-could-help-us-immensely" look.

Jake definitely wanted to follow us out but was held back reluctantly.
I was disappointed and annoyed.
'So what do you want?' I asked rather angrily when I had yanked my hand out of the guy's hand, outside the library.
'I'm sorry. Am I irritating you?' Tyler asked.
'Yes, very much.' I blurted out immediately.
Tyler smiled charmingly,
'As expected from The Valerie.'
'Huh?'
The Valerie?

'Your personality is absolutely amazing.' Tyler replied admiringly, straightening up to his full height which just made him look smarter, 'And I'm absolutely smitten.' He said in a low voice, taking steps toward me.
I let my eyes scan him. He chuckled.
'Sure, you can check me out. That is what I want you to do.' He was closing in on me now.
'Okay dude, whatever your name is, I don't understand-'
'You can call me Tyler.' He said with a striking smile.
I could smell his scent now. He smelled vaguely of books and expensive jeans. He looked immensely interested.

And I was immensely starting to panic.

'So, uh, I don't understand what you mean exactly.' I continued, my firmness crumbling a bit under his unblinkingly sincere gaze.
He exhaled,
'Valerie,' And he sounded way more serious now, 'I just wanted to tell you that no matter how much the others love to degrade you, I think you're. . . you know, unique. You're really smart and really pretty.' He paused.
