John walked into his shared dormitory to see his roommate laying on his bed. He seemed to be typing an something. John decided to ignore him. He scanned the room checking if anything was out of place.

"Hamilton, why the hell are your socks on the TV?"

Alexander didn't even look up. "I didn't want to have to do a load of laundry for a pair of socks." John felt a surge of annoyance. "So you threw them on the TV?"

"Well, I didn't look where I threw them, Laurens. Do you really think I would throw my socks on the TV? How stupid do you think I am?"

"You seem pretty damn stupid sometimes." John glared at his roommate.

"I'm not stupid," Hamilton growled.

"Okay, you sound like a five year old.

"I will punch you." Alex didn't even look up from his laptop where he continued to write.

"Dude, just shut up."

"You're the one who started talking to me, you shut up."

John rolled his eyes and flopped down on his bed. Every single day was a fight with Alexander Hamilton.

John pulled out his phone and started to check his email. He smiled to himself finding an email from his online boyfriend.

"Why are you smiling, asshole?"

"Shut up," John yelled, before he started reading the email.

•Hey, Jack.

So, I was thinking that maybe we could meet in person sometime. Maybe soon. We go to the same university which means we could meet easily. I know you seem to want stay anonymous which I'm fine with, but I would love to meet you.

Sorry, this is short. My roommate arrived and is yelling at me.

Ilove you.

A

Excitement fluttered through John's stomach. His boyfriend said he loved him and he wanted to meet him. Granted, he had no idea who his boyfriend actually was. John opened a new draft and started writing.

So, A, you actually want to meet? And you don't think I want to meet you?

I never knew you were dumb. Of course I want to meet. I'm not an idiot.

Where do you want to meet? We could go for coffee. There's a Starbucks near my dorm or we could go to the movies or something. And when? When should meet?

I love you too.
Jack

John left the dorm room for the university cafeteria, checking his phone every few seconds to see if A had written back. Suddenly John felt a pair of hands on his shoulders and then the weight of his extremely light best friend on his back.

"Hey, Laurens," Peggy Schuyler said.

"Hey, Peg," John replied, excitedly. "Guess what?" He grinned.

"What?"

"Guess!"

"Goddamn it, John, just tell me," Peggy demanded, sliding off of John's back. She stepped in front of him and gave him her best puppy dog face.

John opened the email and handed his phone over to Peggy.

She quickly scanned over it and gasped. "He wants to meet you?" She grinned. "I'm so excited for you..." her face fell, "wait, you do want to meet him, right?"
