Moonpie heard the bleep of the microwave. She raced over and flung open the door. A small smile formed on her lips. She took out her cup with a red heart on it with care.
She sighed and put the hot cup to her lips. When she released her lips from her long sip she hummed to herself."Oh hot chocolate on a Saturday is the best!" she said to herself.
Moonpie then walked out of the kitchen with her cup. She sat down in her room and picked up her phone. She doesn't use it much but when she does it's usually because she's bored.
Moonpie scrolled down her contacts and landed on Erin. She opened the contact and began to text her. She laid her phone down and sipped her hot chocolate.
A moment later her phone began to ring. Moonpie jumped, spilling her hot chocolate all over the floor. Moonpie cursed under her breath as she sat her cup down and picked up the ringing phone.
"Who is this?" Moonpie asked."Oi!" a happy voice called out on the other side. Moonpie sighed. It was Erin's voice. "Dude you made me spill my hot coco!" Moonpie hissed into the phone.
There was cackling on the other side."Sorry moongirl." Erin said. Moonpie rearrange herself on her bed."It's alright for now..." she growled into the phone.
"So what's up moongirl?" Erin asked, using the same nickname as before. Moonpie tilted her head."Not much. Made me some hot chocolate. Thinking of listening to the Eddsworld sound track."
Erin gasped from the other end."That reminds me!" she said."There is a new magic shop opened in town!" Moonpie shuffled a tad more."A magic shop?" she asked, thinking about a certain episode in Eddsworld."Do they have any magic mirrors?"
"I haven't went there yet but I hope they do!" Erin said."Well why don't we go together? Maybe we can get a mirror if they have one?" Moonpie offered."Yeah!" Erin voice yells. Moonpie winced as she moved her head away from the phone.
"I'll text you the address of the magic shop. I'll meet you there. Bye bye moongirl!" and with that Erin hung up. Moonpie sighed as she soon got Erin's address text.
~
Moonpie stood in front of a large building. It had a large sign labeled 'Magic Shop'. Moonpie sighed. She pulled out her phone and checked to see if this was the right place, just to make sure. Her phone lit to life.
She swipped her thumb across the screen and went to her messages. She pressed the one under Kittygirl and looked at the latest message. Sure enough, the address matched the store in front of her.
Moonpie frowned. She turned off her phone and slid it back into her pale khakis. "Moonpie!" Moonpie jumped as someone called her name. She turned around just in time to see a blur of red and blue before it crashed into her side.
Together, the two fell onto the concrete ground. Moonpie growled in pain as the person on her torso laughed."Erin..." Moonpie growled, forcing the girl on top of her off with a shove.
She got up as well, but in her anger she summoned her giant knife in her right hand."I swear I'm gonna kill you.." Moonpie hissed. Erin giggled nervously as she booped her friend's nose."Man moongirl your really agitated today huh?" Erin asked.
Moonpie scoffed as she threw her knife on the floor, and it magically disappeared."I haven't had my five cups of hot chocolate today." she Sid as she grabbed Erin's hoodie and pulled it over her head.
Erin laughed as she grabbed the rim of her hoodie and pulled it back."Wow that's a lot of hot coco!" Moonpie nodded as she crossed her arms."Yeah but it's really-" "Wow! Where at the magic shop!" Erin cut off Moonpie, looking up in awe at the sign.
"Yeah....We are..." Moonpie said, narrowing her eyes at the other ginger. Erin flickered one of her red cat ears."Come on Moonpie! Maybe they have a mirrors that lead to other worlds!" Erin said as she grabbed Moonpie's arm and literally dragged the winged girl inside.
Once inside, the girls looked around in awe. There was many things in the store. Mirrors, swords, pets, clothes, the list can go on. Moonpie looked around till she found a nearby mirror.
She smiled. She ran towards the mirror and looked at Erin."I wonder what's through this!" she yelled as she literally pushed half her body in he mirror, which suddenly disappeared.
On the other side of the mirror, Moonpie went face to face with another ginger. The ginger looked a lot like her, but at the same time not. He had the exact same lime green shirt and pale khakis. Same large wings and blue eyes.
The only thing different was that his hair was shorter, and instead of a blue scarf he had a blue bandana. The man blinked. Moonpie blinked too, then began to go back into the mirror slowly.
On the other end, Moonpie pulled out slowly. Erin looked at the disturbed Moonpie."So....What was on the other side!?" Erin asked. Moonpie turned towards her."It was....Creepy..." she said slowly.
Erin smile turned to a frown almost immediately."Eck, nevermind. Don't tell me, it might ruin my happiness for today." she said. "Hey you girls!" a voice called out. Moonpie and Erin turned around to see the cashier.
The cashier glared at them."Don't you read the signs? It says no touching the mirrors unless your buying it!" he yelled, pointing at the sign above his head. Moonpie narrowed her eyes.
She wanted to yell back something smart, but she sorta didn't want to get kicked out of the store. Instead she just rolled her eyes and walked into an ally. This is apparently a bad mistake because the ally was filled with magic mirrors.
Erin ran past Moonpie and almost put her head into a nearby mirror when he cashier showed up at the end of the ally. He glared at Erin. Erin stared back, then started to laugh.
She backed away from the mirror and to Moonpie's side. Moonpie sighed and pulled out a wad of money that was in her pocket."Well...Bad news...I think I can only buy us one mirror." she said."Unless you have some money."
Erin frowned."I sorta...Forgot my money." she laughed. Moonpie sighed. First she spilt her hot chocolate, now she has to pay for their magic mirror."Well...Since I'm paying I get to pick." Moonpie said as she grabbed a nearby mirror.
Before Erin could argue, Moonpie threw all her money at the cashier and took off with the mirror in hand. Outside, Moonpie stretched out her large pale wings.
Moonpie turned around just in time to see Erin rush out of the store."See you at the mansion!" she called out as she took to the air.
