softly yeji touched her own lips. "sorry, you just looked so...kissable."
seunghoon raised an eyebrow at her explanation. "i don't think, that's what you really mean."
"why do you always have to be right?" the girl smiled, but still he could clearly see that his words had hurt her in some way.
"you won't believe me, but maybe i know more than you think i do."
"should i be scared?" he noticed how she tried to shrug it off, as if there was no deeper reason behind.
the taller guy rolled his eyes. "i meant it more in a relatable way."
"can we talk about something else?" her whole body wanted to cry her heart out and run, but that probably wouldn't have been a proper way to react; yeji actually struggled to keep herself together.
but on the other hand... when did she not?
later they found themselfs on a park bench, talking as if they had known each other for forever. it was all ordinary, until seunghoon said something, he didn't even intend to say.
"you know, i'm your friend and i'm here to listen."
her eyes widened in surprise. "it's been like forever, since i heard something like that."
"but i mean it."
"then i'll be there for you too."
if she wouldn't have been crying, she probably would've kissed him again; not in a romantic way, but because she was thankful... and kissing him felt somehow okay, unlike kissing all those other men.
usually it was like kissing him, even if it was another person. but kissing seunhoon was like, well kissing seunghoon instead of him.
"i've never mistaken a person as much as i did mistake you at first." yeji hadn't even noticed how the tears rolled down her cheeks, until seunghoon handed her a tissue.
"so do you want to know why i never believed in feelings?"
