she was going out to a restaurant with a man she had known for quite a while. to her it wasn't serious, though she knew he tended to be violent.

when he was accompanying her home, they were waiting for a taxi. on the other side of the street, she spotted someone just too familiar.

yeji waved at seunghoon, only to be slapped by the man standing next to her. "damn slut, who's that guy?"

"a friend." she wiped her lip, which was bruised. "just don't call me a slut, i will go home by myself."

as he attempted to slap her again, she put her knee between his legs and ran.

seunghoon watched the scene from the other side of the street and his heart clenched. it was the same guy, who he had already seen slapping her in the past.

why did she go out with him again? it was ridiculous.

but seunghoon was well aware, that the other man was stronger than him, so he prevented getting into a fight again.

later he called yeji again, even though he knew it wasn't really his business.

"are you okay?"

"probably."

"listen, i don't really care,
but if someone  is violent
just tell me and i'll help you
get rid of them."

"leave me alone."

she knew he cared and it made her feel uncomfortable. it was simply her way of saying 'i am too confused to talk about it'.

and seunghoon knew that as well.
