Two weeks later, Ivy was walking out of her economics class eager to get home and spend some quality time with Matteo before they had to leave for his therapy session. A few days after Matteo opened up to her, she found a trauma and ptsd support group and signed him up and ever since that day she attended each one of his sessions with him, two times a week. While she couldn't actually be present with him during his sessions, she made sure to wait for him outside and to show her support.
Ivy had noticed the change in him, he seemed lighter, happier. Like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. While the nightmares still occurred, Matteo informed her that it didn't happen as much as it used to.

As she hurried down the steps, she came to a sudden halt when she heard someone calling out her name. Looking over her shoulder, she watched as Matthew came jogging towards her.

"Hey there gorgeous, where are you off to?" He asked as soon as he reached her.

"Home. I have an assignment that's due tomorrow." She lied, "got to go." She turned to leave but was quickly pulled back by Matthew. His face was a mask of confusion and frustration. "You've been acting strange lately. You've been distant and I barely get to see or talk to you. And when I do see you, you're always in a rush. What's going on Ivy?"

Ivy shook her head, "Nothing. I told you I've just been busy that's all. Now I really need to go." Pulling her arms free from his grasp, she turned and walked towards her car.
---
Ivy collapsed on Matteo's chest, breathing heavily, her heart beating frantically against his. They had just come back from Matteo's support group, and the entire ride home they couldn't keep their hands off one another. They hardly waited to get inside his apartment before they started tearing each others clothes off.

Ivy laid there, listening to the soft beat of his heart and stroking his chest hair. The more time they spent together, the more she fell for him. She knew what she felt for him was real, and she was well on her way to falling in love with him.

Suddenly, Matteo broke the silence between them. "I'm having dinner with your father tonight."

Ivy tensed, "Oh... why?"

Matteo shrugged, "He said he had a few thing to talk to me about, something to do with work."

Ivy relaxed, laying her chin on his chest to look up at him, "Oh ok.. what time are you leaving ?"

Matteo glanced down at his watch and grimaced, " In about an hour. But I'll be home by 11."

Ivy grinned up at him wickedly, "Care for a quickie before you go?"

Matteo let out a loud laugh before wrapping his arms around her and giving her a hard kiss on the lips. "Always."
--
Matteo glanced down at his watch. Robert was late, which was very unlike him. As he picked up his phone to call him, a woman's voice stopped him.

"Excuse me, are you Matteo de Rossi?"

Matteo glanced up to find a woman with short brown hair, wearing a blue longed sleeves dress and who looked to be in her mid-thirties, looking down at him expectantly.

"Yes I am. I'm sorry I don't know your name, can I help you?" He asked, his brows furrowed in confusion.

A nervous laugh escaped her lips, before she extended her hands in greeting. "Hi I'm Vanessa Stirling. Your date."
