Ivy laid in her bed and stared at the ceiling of her bedroom. It had been three days since she had last heard from Matteo, she hadn't seen or heard from him since the night of the party and if she was honest with herself, she was sad and disappointed. She wondered if he'd changed his mind, maybe he had finally decided dating her wasn't worth the risk. A part of her understood why Matteo was scared, she knew how much his friendship with her dad meant to him, they were practically brothers, hell she'd called him uncle Matteo growing up. She'd cringed at that, she'd definitely stopped calling him that since she started seeing him in a different light.

Anyways, that didn't mean she didn't have anything to lose either but she was willing to risk it all for him because she loved him and if he claimed to love her as much as he said he did, he would do the same.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a knock on her door. Her brows furrowed in confusion, it was 12 in the afternoon and she wasn't expecting anyone. Quickly getting up she rushed to her door and opened it. Her confusion intensified when she saw a man who looked to be in his late 50's standing there wearing a suit holding a large bouquet of flowers in his hands.

"Oh.. hello. Can I help you?" She asked, her first thought was that he was lost.

"Hello, I'm looking for Ivy Naughton, I was told this is where she resides."

Ivys eyebrows lifted, "Oh, well you came to the right place, I'm Ivy."

The old man gave her a smile, "Well ma'am, these flowers were specifically ordered to be delivered to you by a fine gentleman." He said, handing her the bouquet of flowers.

Stunned, Ivy took the bouquet of lilac flowers from him. Lilac flowers had always been her favorite flower and no one knew that other than her parents and one other person. Someone who had bought her lilac flowers every year for her birthday until she turned nineteen. Pressing the flowers close to her chest, she inhaled and smelled the sweet smell of lilac. She didn't need to ask who they were from, she already knew.

"And one last thing..." the older man spoke breaking Ivy out of her thoughts, he pulled out a sealed envelope and handed it to her. "This is for you. Now I have to get going but I will be seeing you very soon young lady."

"Soon?" she asked confused at what he meant, but the older just winked and turned to leave.

Closing the door, Ivy slowly walked to her couch and sat down, still holding the bouquet of flowers close to her. Her heart raced with excitement as she opened the letter and began to read.

Dear Ivy;
I know you've been wondering why you haven't seen or heard from me for the past few days and now you're wondering why I'm not there to give you the flowers myself.
Well, you'll find out soon enough my love. All you need to know for now is I'll be seeing you very soon.
Tonight, at 7pm, be ready for Sawyer to pick you up. Dress casual. I know you're probably wondering where he's taking you, but It's a surprise.
Ci vedremo presto bambina.
I love you.
-Yours, Matteo

Ivy read and re-read the letter three times, feeling her race with excitement, she wondered where he was going to take her. Glancing down at her watch she noted that she had a couple of hours to spare, which meant she had time to go get her hair done and a little shopping spree.

Hours later, Ivy sat in her living room waiting for this Sawyer man to arrive. Pulling out her compact mirror from her bag, she checked her makeup.
While Matteo did say to wear something casual, which she did, wearing her favorite pair of skinny jeans, a black cami top and a pair of with white sneakers, that didn't mean she wasn't allowed to put on makeup. She had just bought a new eyeshadow palette, it would've been a waste not to use it.

As she was re-applying her lipstick, a knock on the door startled her. Quickly shoving her stuff in her handbag, she got up on shaky legs and rushed to the door swinging it open. Standing there was the same man that had brought her flowers a few hours ago.

"You must be Sawyer." She said, giving him a small grin.

Letting out a slight laugh, he tipped his hat in greeting. "Yes ma'am. I hope you're ready, because Mr. Rossi is waiting for your at our destination."

Ivy nodded her head. Closing the door behind her, she followed Sawyer to the black car parked outside her apartment. "So... where would our destination be exactly?" She asked as Sawyer opened the back door of the car for her.

Sawyer gave a wink, "It's a surprise ma'am." Letting out a laugh, she got inside the car.

The drive seemed to take forever. Glancing down at her watch, it had been almost an hour since they had left her apartment. Just as she was about to ask Sawyer how much longer, Sawyer spoke up.

"We're here ma'am."

Glancing outside her window, she saw they were surrounded by trees and grass. The countryside scenery looked familiar but she couldn't quite place it. She was so awestruck by the view she didn't realize the car had stopped and Sawyer getting out until he opened the door.

Grabbing her handbag, she slid out of the car until she was facing a large cabin.

Sawyer ushered her towards the cabin, "you can go in now ma'am."

On shaky feet, she walked towards the cabin until she reached the door. As her heart hammered against her chest, she pushed the door open. As soon as she saw the first thing that came in her view she let out a gasp.

The entire cabin was dimly lit, a trail of rose petals and lit candles lay on the floor. She could hear a faint sound of music coming from somewhere inside or outside the cabin. Quickly following the trail of candles, it lead towards a pair of sliding doors, and behind it a small table was set with a lit candle in the middle.

Sliding the door open, Ivy couldn't help but be in awe of the scenery. The cabin was surrounded by trees and grass, but what took her breath away was the beautiful view of the river.

Suddenly she heard the sliding doors close, and before she could turn around she felt arms wrap around her waist and pull her back against a hard chest. Feeling his breath against her neck, Ivy couldn't help but shiver and clench her thighs together. Her breath came out as a shudder as she felt his hand run up her stomach, up to her chest until he had it wrapped lightly around her neck.

But her heart felt like it was going to burst as soon as she heard his deep, rough voice.

"Finally... you're mine."
