I stared at it, completely frozen in place.

Well at least I tried...right?

The grievers claws suddenly launched out and barely missed my arm, I didn't care anymore, I had to survive.

I don't care how big this monster is. I'm going to live. I have to make it for the only family I've ever known back in the glade, and I have to be that 3rd in command everyone sees.

Suddenly, that ice that froze me in place melted because my courage melted away my fear, and determination filled my eyes.

I ran, I ran and turned every corner I knew, hearing the grievers awful sound close behind me.

I thought back to all the moments in the glade. How everyone was my family. How we all were so upset when someone would get hurt, and help them right away. How we all cooked and ate. How we lead and had gatherings.

I really would do anything to get that back right now.

I can't get it right now, but I can shut up and live to get it later.

I felt fire in my eyes, waves of determination and emotions in me.

I suddenly reached a dead end, silently cursing to myself I turned around to see it there.

It was towering over me, but I wouldn't give up that easily, I ran and went under the griever through its left side, but I knew he would hit that side so I turned to it's right side and watched as it hit its self and flipped over, giving me the chance to run for my life once again, being filled with adrenaline.

I looked up at the sky and it was growing lighter and lighter, the sun was slowly rising making the sky slowly go to a lighter blue and soon a golden yellow.

I didn't stop running, knowing how long it took to run to the glade and when the doors would open, I ran straight for the glade from my section.

Soon, I heard the sound of more grievers running behind me, dam it! The griever I dodged before must have called his little friends.

I was so close to the glade, and I felt rumbling of the door opening!

I ran and ran and my leg had accidentally hit a sharp rock and I stumbled a bit.

I didn't care, I had to run, even though my leg is bleeding pretty bad..

I kept running, and I got to close to the wall and another sharp rock hit it.

I hissed in pain and held my arm, but kept running.

Soon I saw the glory of the glade doors from a far, and it was almost open, but the grievers were catching up, and I didn't think I would make it but kept trying.

I heard someone yell "Wait! She's there!" And everyone started yelling not to soon after "No way." "How?!" "You can do it!"

Everyone then yelled encouraging words which made you push even more.

Once you were close enough, runners ran in and helped you back in the glade, and the grievers which were behind you had left and retreated.

Alby and Newt pushed through the crowd and saw my leg and arm bleeding profusely, and many other cuts and wounds around me.

"Med-Jacks!! Help her to the infirmary!" Alby yelled and Clint and Jeff came through helping you away from the crowd.

You smiled, knowing that you had made it before blacking out, being tired out of your mind.
