I rested my head on the table as a continued sitting on the booth, my eyelids began to become heavier and heavier. They began to close and the rays of light that passed through the window started to distort my vision. I snapped wide awake once I heard the sound of the front door opening, Party and Kobra walking through. Kobra passed by without even a glance. Party, however, glared in my direction and basically gave me the look of, "if you do anything suspicious, I'll have my gun against your head." He truly was a cold guy. I wonder what the hell happened to him? Ghoul mentioned something about his past earlier...
My thoughts were cut off by more footsteps, and it was none other than Ghoul himself. Should I ask him about Party's past? Would it be rude to? Is this too early? I suddenly snapped out of my dazed state and realized that I was staring at Ghoul the whole time, and he was staring right back. He smirked, noticing my realization as a light blush formed on my cheeks. He winked and continued to walk out the room. Oh god, I didn't mean for that to happen. That was awkward as fuck...
I decided it was time to finally exit the booth, maybe I can make myself useful. These guys took me in, the least I can do is give a helping hand. I might get more trust from Party too!
I began to make my way outside, and I was met with Jet. He was pumping air into the tires of the Trans-AM, he said something about them being a little dull. I sat down and watched, looking more intrigued than I actually was. I sighed. Where did everyone go off to?
"Hey, Jet, where are the others?" I asked. He continued to pump air into the tire he was working on, then finally answered me.
"They went into the back room to get some other supplies that I need." He told me. I replied by nodding my head and giving an "ahh..."
I watched as Jet Star continued his handy work. I was very relaxed until I realized how hot it was. We were in the middle of the desert, and the sun was beating down on us. The harsh rays hitting against my skin seemed like a familiar sensation, yet that didn't mean the pain from this experience disappeared. I needed to cover myself up, or go inside.
I was about to stand up and go back into the diner, but I froze when I felt contact against my skin. I look up to see Ghoul, who draped his jacket over my shoulders. It's as if he read my mind. He smiled down at me when I made we contact with him, and I returned the gesture. I muttered a, "thanks" before he began to walk away.
I looked back at the Trans-AM, just to see Party leaning against the hood, smoking. He crossed his arms and puffed out some smoke before tilting his head and looking at me.
"You could make yourself useful around here, ya know..." He spat. I glared at him. I was genuinely pissed at the tone he was giving me and the rudeness of his words. I snapped back.
"You could actually be a good leader and instruct me for what I have to do." I told him, my glare still intense. He scoffed and took another puff of his cigarette.
"Feisty one, aren't you." He groaned, then put out the cigarette butt. He began walking back inside before being stopped by Ghoul. I observed them from afar, curious as to what they could be concerned about.
Their speaking was almost inaudible, due to them lowering their voices. They looked serious, and it honestly made me feel uneasy. Party looked pissed at Ghoul, as he stomped into the Diner. Ghoul noticed me watching, and just gave me a blank stare. After a second or so, he looked down and continued in the same path as Party. What was that all about...?
