I sat there for a few minutes until I heard a loud "ZEWP" outside. I peeked out the window and saw 3 dracs. My eyes widened...Aren't we in zone 6?! How are their dracs all the way out here?!? I grab my purple ray gun and sneak outside, making sure to stay low.

I ready my gun and aim for a drac's head, yet one of them spotted me before I was able to shoot. He shot back at me and missed me head by mere inches. I quickly shot my gun three times. I hit one drac in the shoulder with the first shot, killed one in the head with the second, and missed with the third. I ran behind a chair that I used for protection. I then shot at the crippled drac and killed him. There was still one more....but where the hell did he go?

I suddenly heard the loud "ZAP" noise from a ray gun close by. I shut my eyes, waiting to feel impact. Yet, nothing happened. I paused and looked up to see the one and only Party Poison, holding his ray gun and aiming right at the third drac who was already dead. He put away his gun and looked down at me.

"Th-Thank you so much!" I told him, shaking slightly from what just unfolded. He gave me a look of disgust.

"Why are there dracs out here in zone 6?! They never go past zone 4!" He scolded me. Is he blaming me for this?

"I don't k-know...I was thinking the same-" I was cut off by him walking inside. Damn, someone is grumpy.

That one, brisk moment honestly felt like a shot to the heart. I always looked up to Party Poison...it really hurt for him to treat me so bitterly. I put my ray gun away as I made my way back inside the diner. I felt a shiver down my spine as I walked into the diner, quickly taking notice of Party's glares towards me. He lit a cigarette and puffed a gust of smoke my direction. He looked unamused. I gave in.

"Party Poison?" I said with a hint of innocence, compassion, and slight hurt, "I'm very sorry if I came off as rude or anything, I really appreciate you stepping in and helping me out-"

"Saving your ass, you mean." He snapped back, sassily. I nodded.

"Y-Yes..." I looked down, "For saving my ass out there." I heard footsteps coming towards me and suddenly stop.

"Don't get used to it." He simply stated and exited the room. Wow. That really hurt.

I watched as he walked on the outside porch, sat down on the steps, and continued to smoke. I looked down and sat in the same booth Party was sleeping in earlier. I rested my head on the table and started to daydream, until the sound of a car could be heard.

"We gotta fuck ton!!" A man, who was most likely Ghoul, exclaimed. I heard the footsteps getting louder and louder until the front door was opened, followed by a gasp. I smiled at Ghoul.

"Well good morning, sleeping beauty." He smiled at me, giving a slight wink. I giggled and blushed a little at his over-politeness.

"Thanks, good morning." I smiled back. Ghoul scooted into my booth and sat next to me. He started to whisper, "Hey...Party was rude to you, wasn't he?" I looked down.

"It really isn't a problem, I'm going to be leaving later today anyway." I told him. He frowned.

"Jet told me you were a loner, and that really worries me. He told me a little about the conversation you two had, you seem like a very good person. They are hard to come by these days, ya know?" I nodded at his statement and he continued, "So, please reconsider and maybe stay....Oh! And about Party, he's had many bad experiences with new people. It's hard for him to trust someone new, so please don't be hurt by his harsh actions, alright?" He said. I smiled.

"I'll be alright, thank you for caring." I replied. He placed his hand on my shoulder and rubbed my back slightly, giving me a smile. He exited the booth after giving me a few pats on the back, and went outside. I sighed. This is the first time someone actually cared about me and what I had to say in a while...it was a nice change.
