The sun was out, which was a rare occasion that happened during the Winter. The citizens forgot what the sun looked like for a while. Taeyong's mom took advantage of this by opening up all the curtains to let the sunlight pour in all throughout the house.

It was right after lunch that Taeyong felt restless. The ending of the Winter season usually made him feel that way. He was ready for Spring. His teacher even had to get his attention back on track several times.

"Just another hour," he kept saying to himself like a mantra. One passing classmate had heard him and gave him an odd look.

"Taeyong!" Somebody had called. He snapped out of his thoughts and turned to see Jennie rushing over to him.

"Did you check out the book I talked to you about?"

Jennie had talked to him about one of her favorite books, even though it had just came out about a month ago, it quickly became her top reads.

"No, I haven't. I've been busy with other things. Should I go borrow it from the library?"

Jennie shook her head. "You need to purchase it and keep it!"

"Yeah? Should I?" He pondered. Jennie nodded, taking his arm. "Let's go to the book store after school."

The dismissal bell finally rang, letting the students out for the day. Taeyong went to meet Jennie on the bench, who was busy on her phone.

"Ready?" He asked. She looked up, and stood up. They headed towards Taeyong's car.

"Hey, Jennie?" He broke the silence in the car. The way he had asked for her was a bit different.

"Yes?"

"Do you think you could teach me English? I've always wanted to."

"Of course, how much do you know?"

"I only know conversational. I want to expand to where at least I can get around an English speaking country on my own."

Jennie nodded knowingly. "I can totally help with that." The boy gave her a smile, finally getting to learn another language, and having an excuse to spend time with her, after he graduated.

They turned into the parking lot of the shopping district, which held the book store. Taeyong hurried up and locked his car and rushed inside with Jennie.

"I'm so sick of Winter," Taeyong groaned to himself, trying to get used to the heat. "When will we ever see good weather again?"

Jennie laughed, agreeing. They regained their composture, and Jennie went ahead to scan the aisles for the book. Taeyong had never been on this side of the city, so he never set foot in the store.

He noticed there was a little cafè area in the corner, where a few customers stood in line for a drink of small snack before doing their own things. His eyes roamed over the many bookshelves, and towards a little play area for kids. He saw a little boy, with coal black hair, with a hint of a tan from last summer. He kept playing with a train, ramming it up and down the train tracks. Taeyong laughed quietly to himself, before moving to find Jennie.

Jennie looked up from the section of books she was currently looking at. "Where've you been?"

"I got sidetracked."

Jennie turned back to the books. "Take a look at these. Do you know how to cook?" She pointed at the array of cooking books.

Taeyong nodded. "Of course. But not those kind of dishes. I only know Korean."

"I've always wanted to learn how to cook."

"Well, now you can." He laughed, picking up a book. Jennie took the book out of his hands, looking through the pages.
