What Should've Been

   It should've been a normal mission for the Furious Five and Po. They got a message from the Gongmen City requesting back up against a wolf army.

    "Po?"

  Shifu called the Dragon Warrior back as the others started off. He was worried about one in particular. Tigress had been acting very strange for weeks.

   Anything from sleep walking to losing her temper over minor things. She even nearly sliced Shifu's face during training .

   "Look after Tigress will you?"

   "Of course Shifu..she's been freaking Me out too."

  The master sighed as he was left alone to meditate. He couldn't help dwelling on Tigress's savage behavior. It couldn't be devolution, that simply wasn't a possibility.

  Meanwhile the warriors were halfway to their mark.

  "Po quite staring you're creeping me out."

   "Sorry Tigress but I gotta keep an eye on."

   Monkey flipped over them. "Can't blame us you Have been flying off the handle."

  "I have Not. Will you guys just..duck!"

  They dodged an attack in time, it was an army alright but not of wolves.

  Viper recognized them. "Fu Xi!"

  The cobra laughed. "Hello little sister." They weren't family by blood, he simply called all snakes his siblings.

   The fight started, it wasn't pretty or easy. Even Po had a hard time showing off with all the snakes sliding in , over and around them all.

   They even managed to make Tigress dizzy . That made her angry, she hissed striking in every direction.

  "Awe is the two legged Kitty getting angry?" Fu Xi taunted from his many hiding spots.

  "Come out and fight coward!"

  "Come and find me~."

Crane held her back. "Tigress don't .."

"Back of Crane. " She snarled and ran off.

  Monkey flip kicked a snake. "Po Tigress went off alone!"

  "Awe man Shifu's gonna kill me!"

  They all froze hearing an agonizing roar followed by a maniacal laugh.

             That night

  The warriors waited anxiously outside Tigress's room. Shifu had called the palace doctor to check her over.

   "I'm sorry Shifu. There's not much to be done, the venom is spreading too fast. "

  Shifu's ears fell barely comprehending his finest student was dying. "How...long ?"

  Once the doctor left Shifu stayed by Tigress as the others came.

  Shifu glared at the panda. "I gave you One job panda. You were to keep her in check!"

  Po simply sat there watching Tigress. He had never messed up This badly. Tigress stirred weakly.

"M...master."

  Shifu's ears perked looking at her. "Tigress.." He held her paw. "I'm sorry I wasn't there. I knew you needed to stay but.."

   "It's ok Shifu. " She smiled holding his paw in return.

  "No it's not." He sighed. "I never got a chance to tell you that... Tigress?"

He felt her paw go limp. "This is why I don't attach to things." He smiled sadly. "They leave me when I do. "
