Grace

Squinting my eyes, I loom up the wall
Catching a glimpse of the nightfall
Shivers ran down my spine, I feel a crawl
Shh, I hear cries from the rag doll.

Over my shoulder, I take a peek
She wants to play hide and seek
Staring at the wall, red stains on her cheek
Engraved, she appears to be weak.

That pitch-black orbs are full of disguise
My soul she seems to hypnotize
But she's paralyzed as I analyze
I don't believe all these lies.

Stepping back from an aisle
I swear I saw her smile
Mouth as wide as a mile
Please take me out of this pile.

In split second, I fell into a mold
Up I go as I wake up from a dream so horribly cold
Subtle steps I take as I go into a room untold
I flash my eyes, taking in a mirror so old.

Color drains from my face
Blood on my cheek in place
Lips twitching forming a lace
Now I know, I am Grace.

Night falls the second time
Grace is smiling for another crime
Laughter fills the air, such a sweet lime
Grace is me, she is Grace, I call her mine.
