Do you ever get that feeling; you know that feeling that someone’s watching you? Well that how I felt
I was sitting in class and I got this weird feeling that someone was watching me I looked around and saw no one I turned back around and tried to finish this test. I hated English and English hated me but whatever it had to be done. After I finished the multiple choice portion I started on the essay and my mind went completely blank I lean in my chair and started tapping my pencil on the desk trying to come up with something to write about when I felt it again it felt like someone was trying to burn a whole in my back. I turned around and looked right in the intense eyes of Phoenix.
I never knew why they called him that or if that was even his real name but I knew he was dangerous or I heard he was anyway. When our eyes locked on each other I felt like I couldn't look away there was something in his eyes that held so many stories, so much....pain? I quickly turned away and tried to keep my concentration on my work but it was extremely hard when I felt his eyes on me. I finally got it together and started to write my paper after a while my mind went blank again, frustrated I leaned back in my chair and started tapping my pencil on the desk.
"Stop" a low deep voice murmured I looked over to see Phoenix staring at me with those intense eyes of his
"What?" I asked dumbly
"I said..." reaching over and grabbing my pencil from my hand" stop its annoying" he murmured throwing my pencil back on my desk. I stared at him in shock not because he threw my pencil but because I never heard him talk before and the feeling I got when he did shocked me as well. I turned away and quickly finished my paper right as the bell rang. Everybody rushed out ready for the weekend. I got my stuff and went to get up when a guy rushing to leave knocked me over making my stuff spill out
"Dammit" I said under my breath as I tried to collect my stuff and the bastard didn't even have the decency to apologize.
"Where do you think you’re going" a low deep voice said in a grave tone I looked up to see Phoenix gripping the boy's shirt that knocked me down and slamming him into the wall
"I-I was j-just about t-to leave" the boy stuttered looking like he was about to shit himself
"No you were about to help her pick here things up weren't you?" Phoenix questioned. I stared in awe as Phoenix let the boy go and he quickly hurried to help me pick up my things
"You don't have to I got it " I said to the poor boy
"No I got it, it was my fault anyway sorry" he said as he picks up my math book putting it in my bag before handing it to me
"Thanks" I said grabbing it from him. He nodded and left the classroom so fast you would have thought it was on fire. I looked up to see Phoenix still standing there looking at me with that same intense stare
"You know you shouldn't have done that" I said.
He just shrugged "he shouldn't have knocked you down"
"It was an accident" I said walking over to the door where he so happened to be leaning against
"Either way"
I don't know what made me asked but before I could stop myself it was too late" Is Phoenix your real name" I stared wide eyed as he narrowed his eyes at me his green eyes darkening he took a step forward making me take a step back all of a sudden he threw the door open making it bang on the wall
"You should get going" he said lowly not once taking his eyes off me. Nodding my head I slipped past him and left the classroom. I looked back to see if he was still there but he was gone, shaking my head I made my way out the school.
