It’s been a month since everything changed. I went back to school a couple of weeks ago and I’m glad to say school hasn’t really changed that much at all we had class we had lunch and then later we went home, see simple but I which the people here were like that. When I came back everybody was giving me their sympathy and I didn’t want it. I just wanted to act like nothing ever happened. Has for the rest of my friends nothing changed but has for Phoenix....
Ever since that night we've been avoiding each other like the plague and our project has been suffering because of it. Today was no different so you can say I was surprise to go to my locker at the end of the day and find Phoenix leaning against it and I’m not even gonna lie he was looking oh so good and that just pissed me off more and the shirt he was wearing wasn’t leaving any imagination to what was underneath. I walked up to him and we just stared at each other I searched his face but he wasn’t giving off any emotion and I made sure that I wasn’t either.
He sighed" I’m sorry"
"Don't worry about it we both said some things plus you were drunk and-"
"and that no excuse..." he pushed off my locker" look we still have to tolerate each other for the next two weeks to finish this project so I hope we can do that"
'That’s it' was what I was thinking like that all you have to say 'we still have to tolerate each other' Really? but I don’t know what I excepted. "What’s wrong" he asked
"Nothing your right we still have to tolerate each other for two more weeks and then we never have to speak to each other again so if you'll excuse me" I said trying to get to my locker but he wouldn’t move
He furrow his eyebrows" Is that what you want" he said looking down at me
"Well isn’t that what you want" I asked backing up a little when he got to close. He saw that and stood up straight
"That not what I meant"
"Well I’m glad we got that cleared up now can you move"
"Asia-"
"you know what forget it I’ll get my books some other time" I said walking away and out the building. I saw Darnell leaning on a pole talking to some girl but I was not in the mood to wait on him.
"Either you take me home now or I’m walking" I said walking up to him irritated
"Well hello to you to" he said sarcastically
"Not in the mood"
"chill bro I'll take you" he said to me and turned to that girl" I’ll call you"
"Ok" she said smiling way too hard for my liking. He kissed her on the cheek and then we walked to the car. He didn’t say anything when we started driving and I was happy about that but of course it didn’t last.
“You going to tell me what's wrong"
“Not really" I said sliding down farther in the seat resting my head on the window
"Come on"
"What? There nothing to tell" I said as we pulled up to the house
“Fine don’t tell me"
"Wasn’t planning on it" I said getting out the car and walking in the house. Unfortunately mom didnt have to work today so I had to endear another day of her being a b*tch. You might say that's a little harsh but I honestly can’t think of another word for it.
"Hey mom" Darnell said to her
"Hi" she said blankly. She sometimes talks to him but I think if I didn’t have that little outburst we would at least be on a 'Hi' bases too. She still needed someone to blame and I don’t think she will change until Malik wakes up and I’m hoping its soon because I've been missing him a lot he was always there for me whenever I needed him and to not have that anymore hurts more than I thought it would.
