(Ratchet POV)

I muttered almost angrily as I tried to hold one of my tools. The metal felt smooth and foreign in the slim digits. I snarled and placed the tool back onto the table.

"Might as well, get her protoform scanned for the records." I muttered walking in front of a scanner

I activated it and watched as the red light slipped upwards against my... er- her form. The device blinked green meaning the scan was completed. I walked forward to inspect the scan.

....

Defibrillation Unit

Seven subspaces

Vital scanners

Heat sensors

Navigational scanner

Advanced Balance Module

Magnetic Traction

Extendible claws

Four pede-placed thrusters

Spark rate monitor

As I read on the list of her enhancements and mods I grew more confused. She was a battle bot right? Why does she have medic enhancements? I stared at the scan staring at his confused, some of these medical enhancements are illegal to get unless you had been born with them. Then it hit me. I stared at the scan with a hum.

"So, you wanted to heal bots before you got caught up in all this scrap huh?" I spoke to myself

I tapped an almost overly heavy pede and tapped this protoforms chin, "Maybe I can help your dream come true.."

I pushed the scan away into the files. I accidentally hit the table as I walked by and something started to fall. Mechanically and quickly the protofroms servo latched down and grabbed it before the tool hit the floor. I paused and looked at the tool in hand and grinned to myself.

"I could get used to that..." I chuckled placing the tool down.

I groaned as (y/n) sat in my alt mode trying to figure out how to move.

"JUST GO FORWARD!!" I shouted throwing a servo towards the space in front of the ambulance

"HOW DO I GO FORWARD!?"

I groaned placing the servo on the protoforms faceplate, "Just- just do what you think will move you forward!"

"Well OKAY!" She shouted in reply before the back tires screeched loudly throwing the ambulance forward into the hall.

There was a loud screech of the tires and the ambulance roared back in and left black trails as it turned sharply smoking the tires as the ambulance stopped moving.

"HOW ABOUT THAT!?" She yelled

I paused, "Personally I expected you to crash into something..."

The ambulance honked offended in reply, "You have no faith."

I peered down from the roof of the bulding then back at (y/n) who had her arms crossed. I swallowed shakily.

"Well?" I asked straightening myself

She hummed, "Scared grounder?" She spoke in a taunting tone, "This is a sparkling height, I could do this in my recharge."

I snarled, "I am NOT afraid!"

She glares back, "Then jump."

My spark dropped to these overly large pedes, "W-what?"

She leaned forward with a grin, "Jump."

I looked down from the height, "Don't you need to teach me how to fly?" I asked leaning towards her

She chuckles darkly, "I believe in learning on the job." With that she shoved me off the building

I groaned and stretched her spinal strut out with a crack as I walked back to the top of the building where she was waiting. She paused inspecting me with a long drag of my blue optics.

"I've figured out what you're doing wrong." She stated

"What my form is terrible?" I asked sarcastically

"Well yes your form is terrible, but that's not what I mean." She pointed a digit at me, "You're thinking too much like a grounder."

"I am a Grounder!"

She ignored my comment, "You need to feel the air surround my wings feel it in your spark, the sky is where a seeker is meant to be, flying is what they were born to do! A few week old sparkling flyers are trying to get to the sky. And at a month they have figured out to hitch rides on others, I think you can accomplish to at least activate my thrusters."

I grunted staring at her, "But the phy-!"

She cut me off, "That doesn't matter feel it in your spark and aim for the sky. You can do it."

I jumped off once again. I offlined my optics and vented. I felt the wind wrap around this protoforms wings and suddenly the sharp whip around the sensitive edges it felt nice. It felt comforting, it felt like it would keep me safe and direct me.

I felt myself transform... and slam into the ground. The perpendicular top wings twitched slightly.

"HEY AT LEAST YOU TRANSFORMED!" I heard (y/n) yell, "THATS A START!"

I groaned and transformed again and muttered. I need to figure out how to fix this. Now.
