Shrek P.O.V
For as long as I could remember, I've always been a troubled child. I grew up in a neglectful, somewhat abusive, household- with a mother who struggled to take care of the family and a violent father who tried to eat me as a vulnerable, ogre baby. Because of the negative environment, I found myself getting into fights, snapping at teachers and genuinely being a delinquent, as well as a proper ogre.
Although, recently I have tried more and more to restraint myself and try not to go back to my old, more aggressive ways, only letting out a not-so-mighty roar if necessary.
One of the reasons why I would do such a thing, even though I'm a heartless monster of an ogre, is because of my magic. It's a powerful force to be reckoned with and perhaps if I yield enough focus I can eventually control it, use it as a tool for self defense. But, I'm an ogre; getting angry like ogres do often causes my magic to explode and cause mayhem.
That's why I'm here, at this magical wizarding school, to learn to control this power I've been granted seemingly out of no where.
As these thoughts were running through my head, I failed to notice the gelled up, blond haired boy from before taking a seat in the desk opposing mine.
He snapped his fingers in front of my strange, tube-shaped ears.
"Oi! You! Ogre freak," he whisper-shouted, glaring at me.
I snapped out of my trance to shoot a sharp glare his direction. I look at him intensely, noticing the sleazy, rat-like face he had. He look like a weasel, but some how not an ugly weasel. He was frowning at me.
"What?" I questioned quickly, interrupting his irritating words.
"What's the answer to question 3 on this detention sheet?" He asked.
My large eyebrow quirked up in a quizzical expression as I gazed at him.
"After the way you spoke to me before, you have the audacity to ask me for help?" I huffed angrily.
"Well, when you put it like that, never mind mudblood," he snapped back.
I rolled my chocolate brown eyes in pure annoyance.
This was going to be a long detention.
