Chapter 2

Nandini was pulled out of her flashback as the host was nudging her n they had to take another take. Nandini never get unminded while interviews but today she was getting zoned out.
Soon she was done with the shooting. She had back to back 3 meetings. After meetings she went to her cabin. There was a knock in her cabin.
N: Come in.
Nl (Neil): Mam..you have a lunch date with Mr. Neil Oberoi now.(Neil is co-owner of Nandini's company)
N: (chuckling) Dramaqueen
Nandini called her PA n ordered food for them from Neils favourite restaurant.
Nl: Should I call priest to find muhurat???
N: What nonsense Neil...😡
Neil pretended to call the pandit n got smack from Nandini
Nl: What is wrong with you Nandu....you know you can't hide anything from me....is return of that dimwit bothering you....😠😠😠
N: Whhaattt...seriously....Neil you think I am that loser.....(Neil kept silent)..how long would you take to understand this fact..... I am tensed coz I am sensing something wrong is about to happen.....I don't know but I am getting scared ....I don't know why but I can't get this feeling out of my head.....
Nl: Nandu....(hugged her) you know we can't let the fear rule us right....(Nandini hugged him tight) we're not losers right....scared or not we do not have a hold on the future....n we're strong enough to deal with anything that comes our way (sternly)
Both of them kept hugging each other silence prevailed in the room. They broke the hug when both their PAs came looking for them.
Jannat Mansion:
Ishita was feeling restless with the news of HIS early arival. She thought by the time HE will be here Nandini wont be here so situation wont get awkward. Now that Nandini has already announced that she'll stay with them for a the week, now if she leaves that too knowing HE's coming back that will definately lead to suspisions n she doesn't want that. Yes she was mad what happened back then. Yes, She couldn't deny her daughter's misery but for her HE was her son n HE apologized. So she forgave them but that doesn't mean she supports the idea of.....she doesn't even want them to come face to face. N she knew how much HE meant to Raman, n he'd break knowing that ugly incident. Neyo n Raj will also get hurt, they'll blame themselves for this. These 3 will do something in rage which they all will regret. She cant let her family suffer. So she decided that her daugter will adjust....n she can coz she's strong enough to handle anything now.She thought to speak with Nandini once she's home.
San Diego, USA:
Manik felt tired with all the hastel he's gone through. Now finally he can rest for a while. He was standing beside his window looking at nothing...suddenly a particular scene grabbed his attention. His cousin sister was sitting in the garden n all of a sudden his nephew came running to her. He was crying badly.
Cs(cousin): oOo my baccha why are you crying baby? Whats wrong baby....tell your Momy nah......hugging him tight.
Np (nephew): (Hiding himself in her chest) Momy those big boys were saying I look like a pig tail.....they called me fat n ugly....
Cs: Ssshhh...Baby dont cry.....
Maniks cousin was consoling her child Manik missed his Momy....

Flashback:
Week before Manik's 15 th bday he was very excited as his friends decided for some adventure....To his dismay there was a puja held for Maniks Bua n Dadi was there for the puja. Everyone was called for puja. When Manik was about to enter the mandir for puja his dadi stopped him.
Sm(savitri): Raj what is he doing here....
Ask him to leave I don't want any bad omen in my daughters puja. He's bad news for our family wherever he goes everything gets ruined. He's the only culprit of my daughter....
Manik couldn't take it anymore so he ran upstairs to his room. Soon puja started n everyone got busy with puja. None came to console Manik as dadi kept everyone busy so that none could check on Manik. Manik was crying badly remembering dadi's words. How infront of everyone dadi insulted him. How dadi mistreats him every time she's here. Suddenly a pair of soft small hands was on his shoulders....he immediately hugged that person tight n hide himself in her chest...
M: Momy.....(crying) Why does dadi do this every time...am I that bad Momy....am I bad omen Momy.....
Mom: No baby...n she started to whisper sweet nothings in his ears. Her baby slept hiding his face in her tummy being tired of constant crying.
Soon it was dinner time she had to feed her baby but Manik started with his tantrums. Manik finished his dinner after throwing lots of tantrums at his Momy n then slept keeping his head on her chest. Manik was not arrogant person but he did not show this side of him to anyone except for his Momy. That is how their bond was....

Manik was pulled out of his thoughts when his bua called him for dinner (he lives with his buas family in US)
Neil's Cabin, India:
Neil was sitting on his chair keeping his head on the table. He was really tensed. He consoled Nandini but he himself was tensed about Nandini as her gut feelings are always right. He became worried about his best friend. But as he said nobody has control over future....he sighed n let future take its courses...
