Sorry if I am late with this update!! I have been *ahem* playing to much video games, *achoo* watching new anime series and *cough* reading too much fan fictions. Just doing daily life :D
Then I also worked and released my new book about Miwa and female Kai. I do hope you will check it out if you are a fan of MiwKai if you already haven't.
Nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Since talking with his parents, nothing strange had happened. Kai's life lived on as usual. For a strange reason, the constant disturbing feeling behind him was gone. He could finally relax once again.
Kai and Miwa walked away from school and headed for Card Capital. Miwa hadn't seen his friends for such a long time (according to him - according to Kai it has only been a week). The blonde grinned and talked a mile per second. But Kai didn't register what he said. All those... ''experienced'' weeks have taken his mind for far too long. It was time he finally gets some answer to all of his unanswered questions. Miwa was always a good start.
''Hey Miwa I gotta ask you something... Something of outmost importance.''
Miwa glanced at his friend, his grin faltering as he saw his friend's unusual serious look. Well, Kai was always serious but you could tell in his eyes something was up.
''Yeah sure.''
''When we were younger, did you notice anything out of the ordinary? Maybe you... I don't know... Did you perhaps see something unexplainable? Or did I seem weird too you at some point?''
''...'' Miwa stared at his friend, not knowing what to say at all. What had happened in the short amount of time he was away?
''Not what I can think of. Why?''
It wasn't the answer he had hopped for but there was nothing more he could do than sweat drop and smile nervously. The last thing he wanted Miwa to know was about the occurrences he has reluctantly encountered.
''Ahh, never mind.''
''Kai I know when something is troubling you. I wouldn't be your best friend otherwise.''
''Just trouble at home. Nothing more.''
Miwa sighed at Kai's stubbornness. Same old, same old. But then a memory sparked within his mind. ''Now when I think about it, I do remember you used to talk about a friend - uh, an imaginary friend. However I don't remember what you used to call him. Something with an E-... Like Emma or something.''
...
What?

Later that night, back in his room, Kai stared at his ceiling both out of boredom and of what Miwa said before. He had an imaginary friend as a child? How come he doesn't remember it? He turned to his left side and watched his clock ticking by. He supposed he could always ask his parents but their strange reaction last time was almost... worryingly when he thought about his recent experience. Did they really know something? Something which held clue to all this?
That's when he heard it. It sounded like footsteps. But he was all alone in the house. As soon as it came, it disappeared. Then it came again, only louder. Kai sat up and listen intently as someone walked up the stairs and neared his room. The brunette felt his heart beat and his blood running cold as he saw the door handle turn ever so slightly and then the door opened only a crack. And without warning, the door was swung into the wall. But nothing was there. Except for an item lying on the floor.
Kai got out of his bed once he was calmed enough and looked at the strange item. It was... a book? He grabbed it and was taken by surprise of what he found. He read it out loud:
