* New Character YAY*

Ash POV

I was driving back from visiting some old friends that I met during a few tours back who lived across the state but I was slowed down when I saw a tall figure waving at me from the side of the highway. I stopped my car about ten feet away, taking extra precaution in case making sure I took my hunting knife for defense. I left my headlights on as I observed the man from my car, questioning if i should get out or keep going but I was so glad I stayed.

Oh my God! Chris? Out of all places. What the hell was he doing here? I immediately got out of the vehicle and as soon as I recognized him I just froze still. Looking him over, from head to toe I couldn't comprehend the damage I saw.

"Chris!?" I yelled to him, doubting myself that I really found him.

Not saying a single word, he ran up and hugged me tight as he began crying on my shoulder. I held him back as so many questions went buzzing through my head. What on Earth happened to him? Months have passed but Chris definitely didn't look like himself at the slightest, I could barely believe this was what he had become. He's lost a lot of weight, especially in the face. He  so flushed and hollow while looking totally drained. His eyes were dark, tired and bloodshot while his entire body was bruised and bloody. I could tell he was in a lot of pain in the way he approached me, limping a bit as he stepped towards me. When he embraced himself in my arms, he was trembling and shaking. I could feel his frame all too clearly when I placed my hands on his back. Obviously Chris was in rough shape and I feared that he would never return to his former self.

I pulled him by, quickly looking him over while he wore a look of sorrow in his eyes.

"What? Where? Where have you been? Everyone was be worried sick about you and... Ricky! Where is he?" I stuttered to speak as I tried to talk to Chris.

He stepped away, walking over to where a bundle of plants were. Some rustling of the leaves went on before I saw him pick up a small and fragile figure into his arms. In a sad and shaky voice he handed him over to me to carry. "Here he is."

Giving him a short nod, I started heading to the car as Chris followed. As I held Ricky I couldn't get over how much worse he looked compared to Chris and he already looked like hell. His body was weightless and when I saw his back, it looked as if it was attacked with a million blades. Cold to the touch, when I put my ear to his chest, I could hardly pick up on a heartbeat. To be honest, I was amazed that he wasn't dead yet.

Letting out a shallow sigh, I was thankful that he was still alive somehow but if we didn't find help quick, death would eventually claim him. Chris looked to me with a frightened look as if he knew exactly what was going through my mind but we both didn't want to accept this as a possible fate. I opened the car door to the back seat the Chris got in and scooted over to the far side. I handed Ricky over to him, waking him up on accident as I placed his head on Chris's lap. He just looked at me and gave me a slight smile then looked up over to Chris mouthing something I couldn't really translate but I didn't bother to ask, keeping it between them.

I got into the front seat and began to speed off to civilization in search of the nearest hospital. To be honest, I didn't really care if I got pulled for breaking the speed limit. I had a pretty damn good reason for doing so and even if they didn't think my justification was worthy, I could report whoever did this to the police. I would need them to talk about it though if I wanted any information. Fortunately we were only about twenty minutes away from the nearest hospital, hopefully that was enough time to get at least some of my questions answered.
