She can't take it anymore. The constant need to raise her grades, the constant nagging from her mother. She can't handle it. Her brother is a genius in their parents eyes. They want her to be like him. They don't like that she wants to be a band geek. They don't care about how much band and guard can change her life. They want her to focus on academics. That's the only thing they want her to do. Academics and music, that's her life. No time for dating, a social life, or even fun. So she lies.
Her boyfriend didn't know until he read this, and neither did her friends. She always said she was competitive with grades but never really explained why. The constant pressure is stressing her out. She has more panic attacks now. She thinks constantly about how to escape. Not many people can tell.
She constantly thinks she's dumb. She can't find any reason to believe she isn't. She's only good at math and dance. When she struggles she doesn't ask for help. She ignores people to get her work done. The pressure is too much for her. She gets panic attacks during school.
Pressure is harsh. Pressure is evil. Pressure is deadly.
