Toni's POV...
I finished everything I had to take care of and now I just needed to go check on the kids.. Hopefully my uncle had worked his magic by now..
Cassidy was actually trying to help.. she was getting our two extra guest bedrooms ready for the kids and everything..
I pulled up and rang the door bell..
Ray came to the door..
He hopped over to me and gave me a big ol' hug.. I'm not gonna lie it warmed me up inside.. These kids are my only weakness.. I mean I have a soft spot for children period but when it comes to Ray and Diana it was a whole new level.. I'd only ever go to war behind a select slim things.. and they were definitely one of them..
"Yo Ms. Toni! You're back I missed you.. UNC, it's Toni!"
Diana came running down the stairs with her hair flying in the back of her..
"Ms. Toni!!!! I miss you... Nook, Nook I got a new doll! Her name Toni too.. and nook I hab on lipglops!!"
She smiled and hugged me..
I picked her up..
"I see it's so beautiful princess!!"
She laughed and touched my face..
Ray closed the door behind me..
Uncle Shane came down stairs with a play sword and shield.. and Aunt Pamala came down stairs with a pink furry hat on and crazy make up all over..
"DD from the O.P.P what did I tell you about running down the steps girlfriend?"
Aunt Pam said..
"I SAWWYY! But NOOK! GURLFWEND it's Ms. Toni! Her come back..."
She said pointing at my nose..
I laughed and fake bit her hand..
"Ms. Toni, Ms. Toni I NUB IT Here! Can we stay a little longer?"
"Yeah me too, Uncle Shane is cool.."
Ray said smiling
"Well y'all will be back soon but you'll be coming back with me tonight I got your rooms ready and everything!"
"Okaaay! We go get weady.."
I put her down and Ray grabbed her hand..
"Actually y'all go play in the game room really quickly while we go talk to Toni in the din Okay?"
Aunty Pam said..
"Yes mam!"
They both said running back up to the room..
We all went in the Din and took a seat..
"We didn't expect you to get back so early.."
aunt Pam said in a weird tone
"I know.. So were you able to work your magic Unc.. I talked to their mother and she's willing to sign over temporary custody.."
Aunt Pamala held down her head..
Uncle Shane sighed..
"What's wrong why y'all seem so sad? They denied me didn't they.."
Unc got up and walked to the table..
"Auntie Pam, what's the deal? What's going on?"
He handed me a paper and sat back down..
I read it over and over again.. I seen everybody's name on it in the house, even Julie's name but not once did I see my name..
"Aye Yo What the fuck is this shit!"
I said throwing the paper..
"Look honey please don't be mad at us, it's what's best for the kids.."
Pam said
"What's best for the kids! You and him high or something? Since when did you start thinking about what's best for the kids HUH!? Just a couple of days ago you wanted to leave them in the world alone and let the system deal with them! Now you wanna tell me some bullshit about how you and her know what's best for them! Y'all a trip man.. You can take those papers and shove it up both your asses I'll get it done on my own.."
I headed towards the kids..
