It's so fucking dark. It's pitch black and I can't see anything. Colton managed to get ahead of me. I'm stumbling around. I trip over something and go flying into him. "Fuck!" I say. I end up tackling him to the ground.

I land on top of him. I can barely make out his twinkling eyes. "You know, I never thought you would jump me in a haunted house, but it's charming," he says. He has one hand on my thigh where my skirt has ridden up and his other hand is on my back. I breath in the scent of him and shiver. I shove myself off of him.

"I was not jumping you. I simply tripped and you're a dumb shit if you think anything else," I tell him. Standing up, I straighten my skirt and tuck my blouse in. I frown as I look down, or try. He managed to unbutton the buttons on my blouse again. He stands up.

"Come on," he says. He holds out his hand. I stare at him. I don't know if he can see me frowning. "Look, either you take my hand or I grab onto your ass," Colton says. I shove past him and stumble up the steps. He stumbles too, so his face is in my ass.

Once we're up the stairs we turn down a hallway and then there's flashing lights and and people reach out at us. I smirk and high five them. Colton looks uncomfortable and he's grabbed onto the waistband of my skirt.

It's a bit of an awkward position because he has eight inches on me. "You okay, buddy?" I ask him.

"I'm fine," he says. I can feel his breath on my hair and I try not to focus on how close we are. Someone does something to Colton and he jumps and shrieks, "Fuck! Fucking Jesus! Shit!" I smirk and laugh. We keep walking. He's now walking to the side of me.

"Are you scared?" I ask him.

"No, I just...got a bit startled," Colton says.

"Did you seriously fucking shit your big boy pants?" I ask him.

"No," Colton says. He grabs my hand.

"Hey!" I yell, but he doesn't care and I kind of don't. We walk through two more hallways of people trying to grab us before everything gets dead silent and pitch black.

"Oh, shit," he murmurs. His hand squeezes mine and I squeeze back. "This isn't good." I thought it was dark before but now it's so much darker. I literally can't see anything. I can only feel Colton next to me.

It's stupid, but it's fucking creepy. "Just keep moving," I whisper to him. We keep walking. Something slithers by my ankle. "Fuck! Shit! Eww! Shit! Fucking shit!" I scream. I jump on his back. "There's a fucking snake down there!" I hiss at him. I wrap my legs tighter around him.

He's laughing. "I never thought you'd be scared of a snake," Colton says.

"You're a dick. But that shit is so fucking nasty," I whisper in his ear. His hair brushes my cheek. I have no idea how much longer we have to walk.

Colton keeps walking. And then I see someone. "There's someone over to the right," I tell him.

"No there isn't," he says. He keeps walking. I see the person again. And then Colton jumps fifteen feet backward.

"Oh, Jesus," he gasps.

"See! I told you there was someone," I say smugly. He walks a bit faster now. We get out of the dark room and then Colton adjusts me on his back. His hair smells good, my face is right next to his head.

"Why did you jump onto me? Was there even really a snake?" he asks as we turn down another hallway and go up another flight of stairs.

"Something slithered across my fucking ankle and I'm not going to die from a snake bite!" I tell him. I feel him shrug. We walk up another flight of stairs. He doesn't seem to be winded. We go up another flight. "Aren't you tired?" I ask him.
