KARMA'S POV
I hurriedly exited our campus, running, trying to find someone. She quickly left our classroom earlier, where could she be? Perhaps she's already home? No way! She can't walk that fast!
I kept looking around, I even mistakenly took Nakamura as Umi because of their blonde hairs. I sighed in relief when I spotted her playing with her phone, standing still on her spot, "Umi!" I called as I ran up to her.
She glanced over at me with a confused look on her face, "Hmm?"
I sighed again, smiling at her, "Let's walk home together!" I suggested.
Umi looked uneasy but still smiled at me, "I'd love the idea, Karma, but I'm afraid that I still have to do some errands at the Student Council Office."
"Eh?" I looked at her weirdly, "You're already in E Class and yet you're still gonna go there?"
She chuckled, "I didn't get my title ripped off, you know." She gently punched me on my shoulder, "Well, I'm off then! Get home safe." She smiled at me and then turned her back to walk away.
'She is a living angel...'
I wasn't just letting her go off alone, I wanted to spend some time with her. I quickly walked towards her and grabbed her wrist.
I gulped when Umi looked at me with a confused and surprised expression.
"Can I come with you?" I asked, hoping that she would say yes.
'Damn it, Nakumi Narase.'
She looked at me weirdly, raised an eyebrow before clearing her throat, "Are you sure you want to tag along?"
I didn't say anything and just nodded like a little 3-year old.
Umi just burst into a smile, "Well then, let's go!"
'I'm falling for you again.'
LATER
"It's been a while since I came here, without any assembly, that is," I exclaimed, looking around as we walked on campus grounds.
"Nothing changed, except for the fact that the students became douchebags." I chuckled at Umi's choice of words. She must be going through a hard time protecting E Class from upperclassmen.
We stopped in front of a door with the template, STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICE. I immediately got confused when we were just standing there.
"Aren't we going inside?" I asked, looking at Umi who was hesitant to enter the office.
Umi just sighed, "Gakushuu and I had a big fight earlier."
I just smirked, "Don't mind him, he's no match for you."
Umi just chuckled while shaking her head, she then slowly opened the door, only to see Gakushuu holding a cup of coffee.
"Oh, hey, Junior Principal, still a douche?" I mocked, he just rolled his eyes and glanced at Umi, "Why did you bring him here?"
"Did I complain when you took Haruzuki and his friends inside our office when we've worked on confidential cases?" Umi spat back, not looking at Gakushuu, "And please stop refraining to Karma as a nobody," Umi finally looked at Gakushuu, tapping the folders on the table, "He's not, he's my best friend."
'It's been a while since I've heard that.'
"Haruzuki is a different case, he's from A-Class, he's from the same campus while him--" He pointed at me, "He's from E-Class, a different campus than us."
