MANATO'S POV

I watched patiently, as the doctor and the nurse treated Umi with care, they said that it wasn't really necessary to take her to the Operating Room because her wounds weren't that deep, but they kept a close eye on her head. On a good note, they're wrapping her up nicely and treating her wounds.

"Can I take her home now?" I asked. I glanced at Umi who was just looking at her hand, I bet she's still in shock after what happened, "Our family Doctor can take things from there."

The Doctor nodded after hearing about the Doctor, I quickly went to Umi and assisted her while she tried to stand up, "Are you okay? You can walk right?"

"Yeah, I can, thanks for the help, Manato," she said in a soft voice, I only smiled and reassured her as we slowly went our way up to the main entrance of the hospital to wait for Hisako to arrive.

As soon as she did, with the family car, she bombarded me with questions outside the vehicle as soon as Umi got in. I tried to answer them as best as I can but in the end, I needed to cut her off because she was already nagging me.

We arrived at Umi's home, we helped her get inside and settle in. Hisako even called our family doctor so she could check up on Umi.

'Hisako and I are the only ones that know that Umi always got beaten up by Uncle. We tried to convince her to tell us the reason why she was getting beat up but she always kept her mouth shut.'

"Thank you for the help, guys, but It's too much, I don't want to be a bother," she said softly as I tucked her on her bed with Hisako standing on her feet with her phone.

"It's the least that we can do, Umi. Just let us help you." Hisako stated in a worried tone, Umi could only nod her head.

It didn't take a long time for Mrs. Kate to arrive, Hisako had to answer the door and assist her in Umi's room. She took off Umi's blood-stained blouse and removed the covers of her wounds, she needed to check upon them.

"Well, the Hospital Doctors took care of everything, Ms. Narase, you don't have to worry, but we need to treat your bruises, some ice would do the trick to help them recover." Mrs. Kate explained in a warm tone, "And about your head, you're lucky that you were still conscious when you got to the hospital, it would've been terrible if there's a clot in your brain."

After the check-up with Umi, Mrs. Kate had to leave because she still had some appointments that she needed to take care of. As for me, I was the one who fixed the ice-pack while Hisako fixed her medicines.

"It's worse than before, Umi." Hisako mumbled softly, earning a hum from the blonde, "Why did he hurt you this time?"

She slowly looked at me and nervously bit her lip. I knew that she was just worried about Umi. The last time that this happened, she promised Umi that she'll stop this so she wouldn't get hurt.

I let out a deep sigh and felt my cheeks started to burn, "Hisako--" I called but I was cut off by Umi looking at me, "I'm sorry that I made the two of you worry, and I'm grateful for the help that you gave me today, but I'd rather not talk about what happened inside the office."

Hisako and I sighed in despair, looking at Umi who was not comfortable talking about it, "You should get some sleep, Umi, we'll take our leave as soon as we fix those." I pointed over the used band-aids that we had to replace. Umi nodded, "I'll just change my clothes first,"

"Wait, hold on, I'll help you, I'll just take this outside, okay?" I noticed that Hisako was panicking, I was too, but we couldn't show it in front of Umi.

Hisako and I went down the living room, I figured that I should fix another ice-pack for Umi's leg because it was severely bruised.

"Hey, Manato--" Hisako called from the living room.
