Family Reunion

+++AN: unless you're alone with one of the ricks, I will always refer to Rick J-373 as 'J-373' or 'Rick J-373'.  The other rick will always be 'your rick' or 'rick'

Chapter 31:

Your POV:

You stepped through the portal and ended up in a nice looking hotel lobby.
[It looks... Posh... Is this the safe house rick was talking about??]

Everyone looked in confusion at Rick, who just stood there like it was an ordinary afternoon.

"Welp, this is it. Go nuts." He said lightly, not really caring.

You rolled your eyes and walked over to him while, Rick J-373 walked in front of the crowd to get their attention.

As J-373 was giving a speech and telling them to relax because this was there new "home" and such, you smiled and slid your hand into ricks.

He blushed and looked down at you, a smile creeping across his face.

You laughed quietly.

"I missed you." You whispered.

He looked up again, his smile growing by the second.

"Me too."

Soon, you realized Morty was giving you a look.

You gave him one back that said 'what?!'

His eyes shifted to James, who was happily looking around with his hands shoved in his pockets.

You quickly took your hand away from ricks, hoping james didn't see you.

Rick looked down at you with concern.

You glanced at James, then back at rick.

He was struck with the realization, and nodded.

[I'll have to tell him eventually... But.. I'll save it until after we save Lilly.]

Suddenly, the urgency of that sentence struck you.

Your eyes went wide and you tapped james on the shoulder, gaining his attention.

"Lilly!" You whisper yelled to him.

His face went pale and you realized he must have momentarily forgot, just as you had.

Reuniting with your brother was such a happy memory and you didn't want it tainted by the thought of your beloved sister all alone..

Still, you needed to rescue her. Soon.

After Rick J-373 was done with his speech, every one was going to their rooms and starting to settle in.

You and James went up to him and gave him a nervous poke on the shoulder.

He turned and smiled down at you both.

"Hey" he said light-heartedly.

His smile faded when he saw your concerned expression.

"What's wrong?" He said inquisitively.

You sighed.

"We have to rescue Lilly."

He too, it seemed, had forgotten about her.

His mind was wrapped up in all the commotion, just like yours and james.

"Okay. Do you know where they have her?" He turned to James.

James shook his head solemnly.

"They just.. Took her. I mean it's not like the movies, guards don't just spill info convenient to the plot."
