The fact that I was a generally aggressive and a short tempered person was becoming a problem in my life.
I was banned from thirteen stores, six restaurants, and forbidden from ever going back to the fair grounds four hours from where I live.
I had proudly stood up for the 'mug shot' I took at each place that was hung in the employee room saying I was never to be allowed in. I am still proud of those bans.
Perhaps I was too proud about my rebellion and constant will to fight.
Overall I could change my habits of going straight to fighting when someone made me mad. That could be fixed with anger management and some decision making on my part before I take action.
One thing that wouldn't change though, was my over protectiveness of friends and family.
So as I stood in the middle of a street at night circling a girl highly strung out on drugs because she insulted my best friend, I was doing it because it was the only thing about me that would forever stay the same.
And because you don't insult my people without hearing from me.
Around us drug dealers, arms dealers, and just plain thugs we're throwing money down on who would win.
Cassandra had just happened to be walking down the worst street in the state when she had gotten in trouble. So instead of calling her equally bad ass sister she called me to help her.
Naturally I took Alex along with me and grabbed Braden too. He was already at my house catching up so it was only right to include him in the shenanigans.
Duck, dodge, hit.
That's all it took to win the fight. Cassandra sure new who to fight with. If you are going to fight on this street you choose the hooker wearing heals that has just snorted some crack.
Take every advantage you can get.
"It concerns me that you were even walking down that street," I muttered and got in the car.
I made sure all of the doors were locked and my friends were safely inside before taking off. The sooner we get off this street the safer we will be.
"I bought something off Craig's list and that's where he wanted to meet," Cass shrugged.
"Are you stupid!" Alex, Braden, and I yelled together.
"I knew you would react like this," she muttered.
I didn't say anything trying to avoid an argument. Alex got in it with her though, I just kept driving. There was an incoming flight we would miss if we didn't go straight to the airport.
Braden had managed to get the girls to keep quiet once we got to the aiport where Natalie was waiting.
"I thought you ladies weren't coming today," the lady that runs the desk said.
"Believe me, I wouldnt miss this for the world," I whispered.
