The group now consisting of four members stood around within the Port Key Tower. The tower was nothing more than a large circular tower upon a plot of land. The tower was made of stone, and its walls encased large stone arches all of which held portals. at the end of each loop, there was a circular slab on the floor that served as an instant elevator that would take you to any of its countless floors.
Zero carelessly placed his hands behind his head "Alright so we came here to fix your lady friend, and now we have a brooding blacksmith....Wait did you take her to the medical plaza yet?"
Trya examined the stitches in her shoulder "I figured you already took me by there..."
Zero shook his head "Nope that was my work,I just pulled the bullets out of you."
Trya eyes narrowed as they darted to Day "so that's why I can barely walk."
Day threw his hands up "Hey! it was his idea to take you to the temple first! then Zellyrax showed up and things got sidetracked!"
Zero pressed his hand to eyes before running it down his face "God chill out! We can just take you there now. No need to get in a twist." He then looked at Zelltrax "So what are your plans?"
Zelltrax shrugged as he was still decked out in his weapons "I guess I'll just keep traveling with you three."
Zero let out a long sigh "Great, more people to put up with."
"I have a feeling you are not the friendly type," Zelltrax said
Day chuckled "Zero's a bit of an ass but he grows on you....Anywho, I'll be taking Trya to the medical plaza now." He said reaching out to offer his help to her.
Trya nodded slightly before hobbling over to him, leaning on him slightly as his arm wrapped around her waist.
Zero and Zelltrax looked at one another before shrugging and finally turning to the two in order to follow them. The four of them then made their way to the medical plaza.
Once guided to the assigned place, Day helped Trya as she laid down on the medical bed, as she was gently laid down Trya smiled up at Day "Thanks." she said softly as she watched him stand back up.
Day gave a simple nod "No problem. I wonder how long this will take.."
Soon the doctor walked in behind him just in time to catch that last bit "Judging from the reports, we're looking at several hours...Mr. Vantos if--"
Day chuckled "Nah, I'm not Mr. Vantos, my father wasn't even Mr. Vantos, I'm just Day."
The doctor nodded "Day, this will take several hours. If you have something to do to pass time, I suggest you do so."
Day wrapped his fingers around his chin "Come to think of it...since you mentioned Vantos.."
Trya's eyes widened "Don't tell me you came back here and you haven't visited Lyra yet! She'll kill you if she found out you're here. Go! go now before she kills us both!" Trya said frantically as she made a shewing motion with her hands.
Day nodded "Alright, alright I'll go!" Day said in defeat
She would give a nod"I'll stop by when the doc is done."
"Alright." Day answered. He would walk back out of the building and spread out his materialized wings.
"Hey!" Zero shouted "Just where do you think you're going?! Are plan on us of seeing after the girl?!"
Day had already left the ground, his wings flapping as he hovered above them. The Guardian simply grinned as he pointed down at Zero with a finger gun, then took the air.
Zero groaned "Dammit." He said in defeat as he pulled out the pod containing Day's new couch before throwing it down. The messenger would then plop down onto the fresh couch, and cross his arms with a sulk on his face.
Zeltrax watched the messenger with widen eyes of surprise "Why were you carrying around a couch?!"
Since he was in the air, Day had no trouble closing the gap between himself and his destination, many Light beings such as himself had wings, but few used them in such excessiveness as Day when it came to travel. As he flew through the crisp blue sky of the beautiful realm, the draft of air constantly pressing against his body blew through his brown hair disturbing it slightly. After a while, he dove down towards the rural area of the walled city, before landing peacefully on the cobblestone road. As his wings vanished into a puff of white feathers, the guardian turned to the door of a small home built of stone walls encompassed by a wooden frame. As Day's knuckles slowly rose to meet the old oaken door, it suddenly flung open knocking the guardian from his feet. Which was actually much to his luck, as a coffee table flew through the air barely missing his head as he fell.
A woman in a black dress with grey edges stood in the doorway, arms crossed as anger burned in her eyes. Her silk like black hair was mostly hanging down freely aside from two braids wrapped in brown bands, one hung from each side of her angered face. Her eyes were soft velvet color, but this did not make them anymore less intimidating "HOW DARE YOU NOT CALL FIRST!" The woman yelled in burning rage "I RAISED YOU BETTER."
Day crawled backward on the ground to put some distance between himself and the woman "Sorry! I kinda came to this realm on short notice!"
"And why is that?! I know you didn't come all this way just to show up unannounced! Who died?!"
Day sighed as his face went from fear to sadness. With heavy form, the guardian stood up slowly "No one died..but...uh...Night isn't dead."
The woman's eyes grew a size before softening "What do you mean? and why do you not sound happy about that?"
Day pointed to his scarred eye "He caused this...he's not himself mom.."
She rolled her eyes "Don't call me mom, we're both adults here..even if I did raise you two..." She stepped to the side "come in...I can tell this conversation will take to long to leave you standing outside."
Day nodded and started walking into the house "Thanks Lyra.."
As the two sat around the spot of empty floor where Lyra's coffee table once sat there was a bit of silence. Day did not wish to have this conversation, and it as clear Lyra dreaded whatever would come of it.
"Well." Lyra said with crossed arms "Out with it, before I stop you from telling me. What happened to your brother?"
Day sighed. "I...I don't know. He just...It was like he had been smothered in a cloud of darkness...he just felt...evil, pure monstrous evil. Apparently... he's been going around crashing realms."
Lyra couldn't help but gasp slightly "You mean that man in the black armor is--"
Day nodded with a pained heart
lyra's face fell into her hands as her elbows propped on the arms of her chair "Some mother I turned out to be.."
Day looked up "Hey! don't say that. Something, or...someone is controlling him!"
"You're sure?" Lyra asked taking a deep breath as she collected herself
Day nodded "But...worst news is I think he plans on attacking again...I don't know if I can--"
"Day Vantos!" She yelled as her face was struck with that cold stern look "He is your brother! It is up to you to stop him! You have to.." Lyra's composure quickly sank once more
"So what? you want me to kill him!?" Day replied angrily.
"No...yes...I don't know!" Lyra sighed and looked down at her feet as she thought. Swallowing her sadness the woman looked back up at her son. "When the time comes, do what you can. If you can save him, do it...but if he is to far gone. Then..."She struggled to say the words, her sadness slowly resurfacing "N-no...I've already sentenced him to death once, Day!" She shouted like a drill sergeant as she stood to her feet "Save your brother! no matter how far you have to go!"
Day watched as the spark ignited within the woman. He sighed softly before nodding "Then I'll need to go see dad, with all those books he has to have a way."
