{} ???'s POV {}
"Alright, everything looks secure. The readings look stable over here! How's the machine?" A female teen's voice echoed in the empty classroom. My vision shifted to see a girl with black hair just long enough to be put up in a bun with a few strands of hair hanging to the side of her face. The strands, however, are electric blue color, connecting to the single streak of the same in her hair. She wears a white lab coat over a traditional school uniform and is wearing a thick pair of safety goggles over her electric blue glasses.
"It's in tip-top shape." Replied a pink haired, male teen with a thumbs up, smiling a sharp toothed smile. He's in his own school uniform, except he wears a utility belt around his waist lined with a variety of tools. I shifted my gaze again to the last person in the room.
"All the coding looks good." Meekly spoke up a short blonde girl in her own school uniform. She was rubbing her hands together in nervous anticipation.
"Perfect. Then will you help me out with the simulations?" Asked the teen in a lab coat towards the blonde girl.
"Sure," was her only response before she made her way over to the other female. Who was standing in front of a very complicated looking setup of computers and other devices.
I sit on a desk and roll my head back as I let out a sigh. "You guys do realize they want the results by the end of the day, right?"
"What we're doing takes time, besides, we will be done momentarily." The lab coat girl responded in annoyance.
"Oh man! I can't wait to get this up and running! If this works, Miss Sonia will definitely notice me!" The pink hair male's eyes shone with excitement as his mind thought up of fantasies of his crush.
A scoff left my mouth as I rolled my eyes. "You're more pumped about a girl than a revolutionary breakthrough in science?" I teased.
The pink teen shot a glare at me, now clenching his fists. "Hey! Miss Sonia is not just some girl! She's a princess!" He rebutted. I just shrugged his argument off, looking over at the two girls intently staring and typing away at the computers. They stopped and looked at the screens for a moment, before a smile came to their lips.
"The simulations have nearly 100% rate of success! And the machine's programming is ready for instructions," the short blonde reported with a smile.
I grinned and lept off of the desk as lab coat walked over to me. Picking up a weird full body suit laying on a nearby desk. "Here, get dressed. You know the procedures and everyth-?"
"Yes, yes I know. I'll be back in five minutes." I cut her off, taking the suit and going to a bathroom to change. I quickly changed into the full body black suit, leaving only the skin on my face visible. Aluminum lines ran down the sides of my arms and legs on the suit. When I returned, They were all huddled around the high tech computers. "Do I get in now?" I asked them, placing a hand on my waist as I stood in the doorway.
"Yes, knock on the door when you completed the preparations," lab coat ordered. I nodded in response and made my way to the sci-fi looking, cylinder-pod thing in front of a bare classroom wall. I had to cross a web of wires to get to it. Once I carefully stepped inside, I closed the door and began checking and flipping things inside the pod. Making sure everything is calibrated on the inside. Once I was done, I knocked on the metal door of the pod, and waited for the sound to tell me that the machine is doing it's job.
I can hear their voices talking to one another from outside the machine before a sudden long beep sounded in the machine. I take a deep, nervous breath of air before the pressure in the machine increases. A weird tingling sensation spreads throughout my whole body, electricity sparks across the metal wires on the ceiling. I feel dizzy before I suddenly feel like I'm being sucked through something. The world warps around me, becoming fuzzy before I feel the ground back under my feet. And for a moment, I see a familiar setting. Around me are my friends excitedly chatting in front of our reserved classroom. The surprising thing about this was, ...
