{} Aria's POV {}
Resting my head against the edge of the bed, I try to ignore the throbbing in my shoulder. I've been enduring it for a while, but now I just want the pain to end. The bleeding has mostly stopped flowing, however, the open would is still quite bloody. Around it, the blood has dried, making my now stained poncho stick to my skin.
Sayaka, who is silently sitting on the bed, bites her lip. Her wrist held gingerly in her hand. She too has been enduring her own injuries, but I have no clue how she's faring. I would occasionally hear her groan or whimper time to time, so it's obviously not a fun experience for her.
Suddenly, the rattle of the door nob pierces the air. I shift into a more upright sitting position while Sayaka snaps to attention. The familiar bright head of hair pokes in. Face looking frustrated and angry as he stomps into the room. He slams the door behind him, causing me to inwardly flinch.
"So," I cautiously speak up, "It didn't go well?"
"No," Leon grumbled. "That stupid bear wouldn't let me in the infirmary. Said how he can't reward unwanted behavior." Leon walked over and harshly plopped down on the bed. He let out a heavy sigh and ran a hand through his hair. "Sorry I wasn't able to get the bandages and things to fix ya up."
"It's fine," Sayaka responded. Though the way she held her arm and the strained look in her eyes said otherwise.
I look at the blue tile floor for a minute, thinking. Shifting through my fragmented, jumbled memory. I know there are things I still remember, just random bits of info that don't really have anything to do with me.
"Well," I break the silence. "If he doesn't want to give us bandages, we will just make our own." I stand up and look at the torn bed sheets with a smirk. Leon picks up on what I'm getting at and mischievously smiles. Sayaka looks a tad confused, and looks between the two of us. I walk over to her and gently tug on her sleeve, coaxing her off the bed. Leon pulls off the top blue sheet, the one he cut into with the sword. He drags the bed sheet over to the corner where the sword and knives still lay, and picks up the big knife. Sayaka watches him start to tear the sheet into inch wide shreds, while I go looking around the room.
Recalling the note left in my room, there should be a tool kit in this room since it's Makoto's. Venturing over to the drawer in the desk, I open it to see the bright red plastic of the tool kit. The steel tools with yellow plastic handles lay snug under the plastic wrap covering the entire thing. I pull it out and close the drawer before I place it on the desk.
"What are you doing?" Sayaka's voice says somewhere close behind me, having walked over to see what I'm doing.
"Making a makeshift splint," I reply without looking up. I struggle to open the kit with my left, since I my right shoulder is still searing with pain. Thankfully, the plastic is thin and gives way after only three tries, allowing me access to the tools inside.
"Sayaka, put your arm on the table for a moment," I ordered the girl, although, in a soft voice. Soon Sayaka's pale arm came into view as she gently placed it on the wood surface. I grimace at the sight of it. The area around her wrist looks swollen and slightly discolored by bruising. I have no idea if my makeshift splint will even help it, but since Monokuma refuses to help, it looks like we can't do much else.
I start taking out the tools in the tool kit, except for the pliers and hammer because I know they won't help. I lay the screwdriver and wrench on either side of her arm, scrutinizing them under my golden gaze. In the background, the tearing of sheets stop, followed by the shuffling of fabric. I put away the screwdriver, deeming it unhelpful in the making of a splint, when a pile of blue strips were dumped on the desk beside me.
