[chapter five] arguments

[he was not comfortable with any of that happening especially with lolita holly]

stanley uris patiently waited outside the holly's household on his bike,he had invited lolita to go to the quarry with him along with the other losers

richie had invited 'lips' and was currently picking her up as he insisted on doing,stanley leaned against his bike handles feeling uneasy about being friends with the girl

he had seen her interact with henry bowers multiple times,all times he was not bullying the girl but instead making her laugh.this made him extremely worried,a part of him thought henry bowers put her up to this since stanley's father threatened to sue henry's father after henry shoved stanley onto the floor

which only resulted in stanley hurting his ankle

henry got grounded and wasn't allowed to leave the house for two whole weeks.he seemed as if he were going to rip stanley to shreds for getting him into trouble

the sound of the door opening interrupted the boy's thoughts and multiple theories.he looked up and saw the girl wearing a floral dress,barefooted and chewing that bubblegum of hers

"morning stanley" she grinned walking toward the bike,she stopped beside his bike and hugged him catching him by surprise

"morning lolita" he replied as he awkwardly hugged back,the girl let her grip release from around his neck and her arms made their way back to her sides

"move over" she demanded,stanley shuffled forward on his bike giving the girl just enough room to sit at the back of seat,she climbed on and wrapped her arms around his waist

"are you ready?"he questioned not wanting for him to start pedalling and the girl to go flying,although he would find it amusing he would also feel horrible for causing any harm to her

"ready" she cheered and with that stanley uris began to pedal at a moderate pace to the quarry to meet his friends

lolita's hair was flying everywhere in the wind,she was enjoying herself

she felt so free seeing houses and cars pass by in a large blur for once in her life she seemed to be genuinely happy

"hey stanley" she says leaning her head on his back,stanley murmured back a simple what when he heard the girl speak

he was too focused on the road to care about what the girl who he was using for his curiosity had to say to him

"you're really nice and i hope you know i'll always be your friend" she whispered with a hint of guilt in her voice but she covered it up with a soft cough,stanley didn't hear a word she said as it was almost inaudible with the wind in their ears and car driving past

"that's nice" he replied as they came to a stop at the quarry,lolita took a deep breathe out as relief some what filled her body

stanley let lolita get off the bike before he did, the others had already arrived and were all standing at the edge of the cliff spitting even brandi

lolita stared at them all confused yet interested by their actions,she turned back to see stanley undressing him self down to his underwear before he ran up to her

"come on!! don't just stand there" he ushered her to hurry up so he could join in on the fun, lolita unzipped her dress and grabbed ahold of stanley's tense hand

"lets jump together"lolita says squeezing his hand,he nodded before they both took off in a sprint toward the edge

richie turned around eyes wide as the group of kids made a gap for the two to jump from,as they reached the ledge they both took a jump and felt their bodies plummet,lolita's hand gripped onto stanley's tighter as they hit the freezing cold water at the same time

emerging from the water stanley smiled at lolita who still had a grip on his hand,stanley noticed this and pulled his hand away from hers

"watch out assholes" they heard richie scream before the young boy jumped off the cliff as the two previously did

bust a move blared on the radio as the kids sat around together,the three girls laid on towels beside one another tanning as the boys all stared not helping themselves

"stop staring perverts"brandi spoke over the music not even moving her head an inch to know their eyes were on her and her friends

the boys all looked away as lolita stood up and lifted her sunglasses from her head,she walked over to stanley and sat beside him

"stanley my parents are out for the night,want to stay over?" she whispered into his ear,the shocked boy gulped not knowing how to respond

"no i'll be fine at my own house" he says moving away from her,he knew what events happened when a guy spent the night at a girls house or the other way around

he was not comfortable with any of that happening especially with lolita holly and when they were so young,lolita looked down trying to think of ways to persuade him into staying

"it will be fun stanley,we can watch movies,dance and we can bake" she says only so he could hear,he turned to face her with a look of contemplation

he had been contemplating on what to do a lot especially when it came to her, "my parents would never allow it" he replied shrugging his shoulders,she laid her head on his shoulder making eye contact with brandi

"what'd he say?" brandi mouthed to the girl making sure no one was looking,lolita shook her head no and brandi threw her head back irritated

"wait tell them you're staying at richies or something" lolita says thinking quickly,stanley removed her head from his shoulder and stared at her like she was crazy

"no way that's lying" he bitterly spoke to her, "i don't lie to my parents especially about things like that okay,just get brandi to stay over because i will not be a toy for your sexual needs"

lolita's eyes widened and so did the others as stan was unaware of his raising in voice, "who said i wanted you for sexual needs!" she screamed standing up

"it sure as hell seems like it and i will not be apart of this!! it's disgusting" stanley screamed back,by now the two were both standing up and yelling at one another like children as the others watched in both glee and shock  

"you never lie to your parents? well you're lying to them right now by saying you stopped talking to me!!" lolita stated irritated,this was not going to plan and brandi noticed

"stop it okay,lolita and i are going" she angrily said grabbing ahold of lolita and pulling her away from the group, "you just blew it" brandi sighed

"there's always a chance he will forgive me" she sighed, "guess we don't get that money" she chuckled and brandi rolled her eyes

"i can't believe he actually thought you were going to try and have sex with him" brandi laughed continuously inbetween her words,this was rather fun for the two friends

"i think i came off too strong" lolita says to her friend as she blew a bubble from her bubblegum,brandi looked at her and smacked her lips together

" too strong" brandi says popping the girls large bubblegum "way too strong lo baby"
