Liam's POV: Ch. 25

➡Liam's POV:

I motion for Lily and Lou gently hands her to me. I walk into Harry's room and grab some sweatpants and a t-shirt that says Keep Calm and Love Ireland and the UK.

It's a One Direction shirt.

I dress her in that and decide to have Lou Teasdale to take care of her outfit and stuff tonight at the concert. Tonight we have a big surprise for her too, so she needs to look super cute.

Let's just say she might be on stage tonight. And might possibly show off her new talent that she does every single day.

I smile at the memory and glance down at my phone where I keep the video.

Lily stirs and opens her eyes sleepily. "Where's August?" She asks through a yawn.

"Um, I don't know LiLi," I answer. Me, still carrying the half-awake Lily, walk back into the hallway and walk into Louis' room without knocking. "Hey LouLou!" I greet happily.

"What the hell?!" Louis shouts. He's having a full-on make out session with Eleanor.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" I yell and back out of the room, shielding Lily's eyes.

"Shut the door!" Louis screams after me and I slam it quickly.

I run to Lily who has tears running down her face. "What's wro-"

Lily interrupts me by saying, "He did it too."

"Who Li?" I ask but she's in another world. One of her own.

"He said he wanted his supper so I went to give it to him but I didn't knock, and he was doing that to a person. And she was screaming and crying and when I walked in, my old daddy yelled at me. Then h-he s-stopped screaming and t-told m-me to l-leave. The n-next d-day he m-made m-me b-breakfast. And it w-was a f-food that m-made m-me sick and throw up all d-day. And then I w-wasn't f-fed for a l-long t-time," she explains.

I am so thankful Zayn didn't hear this because he would have flipped. I mean, you have no idea how angry I am, but I'll go and get my anger out tonight somehow. Not at a bar, on stage, jumping around and stuff. Or go to a gym and punch something.

Lily is crying hard now and I can't calm her down. Everyone is now in the hallway and Harry comes and pushes the inhaler into her mouth.

After thirty seconds he says, "good."

Lily is still hiccuping and crying and I push her head against my chest, slowly rocking back and forth. Sophia comes and smooths Lily's hair and whispers loving things.

Harry starts to sing "Little Things" and Niall, Zayn, and Perrie come join us and sing softly with Harry.

Louis and Eleanor have come out of Lou's room and Louis catches my eye and mouths, "I'm sorry."

I nod but he broke his promise which I'm slightly annoyed at. The promise to not say bad words in front of Lily. I know we've sworn in front of her, but he really didn't have any reason to scream it. I guess he should've locked his door too. Although, Lily can't reach handles but if someone left the door open accidentally or...well, never mind. It kinda was my fault.

I look back to Louis and mouth, "It's alright."

He obviously sighs in relief and a smile starts to grow on his face. No one can stand when two of us fight. It's what makes our band. It's what holds this band together. It's what makes us a family.

It's what makes us...us.

Lily has finally calmed down but when Louis comes over she cowers in fear against me. Hurt flashes across Eleanor and Louis' faces and they both turn away and wipe at their eyes.

Lily sees this though and guilt is written all over her face. She looks up at me with uncertainty in her eyes.

She doesn't know what to do, I realize. She's scared of Lou and El, but she can't stand to hurt people's feelings, especially her dad and, basically, her mum.

I sigh and cradle Lily close. "Lily. I want you to listen to me. I know you had an awful life but nothing we do is to hurt you. Louis is so used to swearing and it just sorta slipped. He says he's sorry, too." I pause and stare at Lily's eyes. They were a brown like mine but have changed color. There's blue and green and hazel and brown all mixed in there. It's like all of us lads took a bit of our eye color and splashed it onto hers. They're beautiful. I smile sadly, desperate to keep her this young and innocent forever.

I think all of us wish to keep Lily forever young.

"Lily, please remember that we will never hit you or hurt you like your old father dad. Please just forgive Louis. He didn't mean to, honest," I explain further to Lily.

Lily sniffs and starts to lightly cry. "I'm sorry," she mumbles.

"No, don't apologize! It isn't your fault," I exclaim.

"But I'm making you all change!" She says.

"For the better though," I whisper. "Lily, all you've done for us is make us better people. You keep us in check when we could let fame into our heads. I don't think you realize all the amazing things you've done for us. We should be apologizing to you because we haven't been the best guardians. We've let you get hurt so many times. And for that, I apologize. We all apologize." I start to cry and all the lads have started to also. The girls went into a room and left us some privacy.

"I love you LiLi," LiLi whispers and hugs me fiercely.

The rest of the lads join and it turns into a group hug with us all crying.

"I'm sorry," Louis apologizes.

"Me too," Niall says.

"That goes for me also!" Harry exclaims.

"And me," Zayn adds.

"Plus me," I say.

Lily squirms out of my arms and stands in the middle of our hug. She looks up at all of our heads and meets everyone's eyes. "Harry told me that when you guys got bit by sharks that it wasn't my fault." She looks up farther and falls on her butt with a little oomph! I laugh with the other lads and Lily's face heats up. Then she continues, "And, well, it isn't really your fault for me getting hurt. I'm used to it anyways."

"Baby girl, I love you so much. And when Harry said that, he was right. And he still is. But when you say that all your injuries aren't our fault, I'm going to have to say that you aren't right. We should've known that our lives may be perfect but there are people out there whose lives are awful. And I wish we could just go and hug every single one of those kids or adults who can't take their life. All those people who cut, who think about committing suicide, who have committed it, all those people who just can't take their lives, I want to just send them a hug but the only thing we can do is write our love through our songs," Louis says, very down to earth.

"You didn't need me," Lily says with a smile. She can be so mature sometimes.

Louis laughs and says, "Don't grow up on us too fast."

"I won't go anywhere," Lily promises. And then she gets up and hugs us all fiercely and then, stepping out of the group hug circle, she yells, "I love One Direction!"

And all of the people staying in the hotel with us, Paul, Lou Teasdale, etc., step out of their rooms and agree although Paul adds, "They're a pain though!" which we all laugh at because we are.
