The Battle for the Dragon Flame

Chapter 7: War! pt. 2

Daphne took Serina to Gardenia. Mike and Vanessa were shocked when Daphne arrived. Daphne knocked on the door harshly and Vanessa opened the door. "Have I met you before? You look very familiar." "I'm Daphne, Bloom's sister. Bloom is in danger and so is her daughter, Serina. Take care of her and I will return when everyone is in the clear." Daphne handed Vanessa the 2 year old and promptly left. Vanessa went inside with Serina. "Mike! Mike, we're parents again."

Daphne got back to Alfea and found Stella. "So, who is going to break Icy and Darcy's spell on Bloom, exactly?" Daphne asked. "Stormy" Stella replied. "Stormy?! But- but she's, she's evil. She's one of the Trix Stella!" "I know Daphne. But isn't it interesting how Stormy isn't a part of Icy and Darcy's plans? I think Stormy has had a change of heart, somehow, and Icy found out, and they kicked her out. That's why Stormy hasn't been around." "We don't know for sure Stella. She could just be part of their plan, just not yet" Daphne said, worried. "We've got to try Daphne. It's Bloom's only option and besides, Stormy is the only one that can break the curse. Fairy magic can't. We've got to get Stormy." Daphne sighed in defeat. "Fine Stella. We'll find Stormy." Stella smiled and said "it'll work Daphne. I'm positive. Stormy is the answer." "Okay Stella. Where would we look for her though?" "I'm not sure. How about we start at CloudTower?" "Stella, what if Icy and Darcy are at CloudTower? We'd be screwed." "Well, you and I, together, are very strong so we'd be able to knock them out-" "no Stella, they are way more powerful if they are able to talk through Serina and hurt Bloom this way." Stella sighed and said "Daphne, we've got to be positive. Do you want Bloom to get better?" "What kind of a question is that? Of course I do-" "then we are going to CloudTower." "Okay fine. But don't make me say I told you so" "you won't have to. We'll be fine, now lets go." Daphne and Stella left the room, with Bloom in a protective bubble only Daphne could break.

Once they got to CloudTower, it was apparent that the Trix were there or had been there. "Stella-" "be quiet Daphne. Let's go." They flew up to the top of CloudTower castle and flew inside the top rotunda. Once they landed, they searched the room for anything leading to Icy and Darcy's whereabouts and possibly the location of Stormy. "Find anything Stella?" Daphne asked. Stella had her head inside a dark, musty closet "Daphne you might want to come here" Stella called. Daphne walked over. There, in the closet, was Stormy, tied up and gagged. Her clothes were hanging limply from her body, suggesting that she'd been there for a long time. "Stormy! You found her! What- how was she?-" "help me get her out" Stella said, and she and Daphne tugged Stormy out of the tiny closet. They took the gag out of her mouth so she could breathe but left her tied up, just in case. They sat her in a chair and bound her to the chair. "Start talking witch" Stella snapped. "Please, let me go! I can help you! I know where Icy and Darcy are and their plans. I turned on them just after they told me-" "how do we know we can trust you?" Daphne asked. "I promise, you can trust me. What they are planning is way too low, too evil. I couldn't partake in their plans" Stormy explained. Stella formed a magical bullet and logged it in Stormy's neck. "If you dare try and harm anyone, I can promise you, that bullet will kill you faster than you can apologize." Stormy rolled her eyes and said "there's no need but whatever. Now what can I do for the two of you?" "It's Bloom" Daphne began "your sisters put a curse on Bloom that is making her unable to sleep. It has been on her for so long that she is now passed out on her bed and I can't wake her up. Bloom is a light sleeper so that's why I'm so worried." Stormy sat, still bound in the chair, thinking. "Hmm, I think I know what'll break it but you have to take me there. I need to get a sense of who put the curse on her because, depending on whether or not it was Icy or Darcy, I may not be able to break it. Icy and Darcy are far stronger than me so that's why I must know. If it was Darcy, I may be able to break it, but if it was Icy, then I can't break the curse." Daphne's facial expression was grave but she knew they had to try. "She's my sister. We've got to get back and try." Stella and Daphne untied Stormy and they headed back to Alfea.

Once they got into Bloom's room, Stormy went to Bloom and placed a hand on her forehead. "Mhmm... mhmm" Stormy mumbled. "What is it?!" Daphne asked, worriedly. "Icy and Darcy, they... they combined their powers to form the curse but-" "but what!" Stella yelled "but I don't know how they administered the curse to Bloom. It's unclear. If I can't find out how they put the curse on Bloom, then I can't reverse the curse or break it." Stella and Daphne looked at each other, then at Stormy. "Please, try harder" Daphne said, tears welling in her eyes. Stormy searched and searched Bloom's mind, desperately trying to find how Icy and Darcy put the curse on Bloom. But the chances were becoming less and less likely of her finding it. Just when they were about to give up, Stormy shot up from her crouching position. She had a hopeful look on her face. "What is it Stormy?" Stella asked. "I may have just found out how to cure Bloom."
