Chapter 8: Hope in a Time of Need

"What is it Stormy?" Stella asked. "I may have just found out how to cure Bloom."
Stella and Daphne looked and each other, squealed, hugged, and turned back to Stormy. "How?!" Daphne asked. "Well, it appears that Icy and Darcy came into Bloom's room one night and put the curse in something she ate. She threw away whatever was left of what the curse was in-" "maybe a banana?" Stella asked "maybe" Stormy replied. "Anyway, if we can wake Bloom up, and put a healing spell in a something for her to eat, then maybe the curse would be broken?" They all thought and decided they'd try that. "How are we going to come up with a counter spell?" Stella asked. "Well" Stormy started "how about-Daphne, you make the spell- oh! Wait! She can't! I have to. Okay never mind. Okay, since Icy and Darcy combined their powers, I will need you both to get me a dragon fruit, a fairly large ice cube, and some darkness." "I can get the ice cube" Stella chimed in. "Okay good. Daphne, you'll-" "nope. I'm staying here to watch you and make sure you don't double cross us. Stella, get the ice. Then, when you return, I'll go get the jar of darkness and the dragon fruit." Stella nodded her head and left, leaving Daphne with Stormy.

When Stella returned, she had the ice and the dragon fruit. "Stella, I was going to get the fruit" Daphne said. "Yeah but I decided to save you the trouble and make it a quicker trip for you" Stella responded. Daphne smiled and said "thanks Stella." Daphne left to go get the jar of darkness. "Okay Stormy, how are we doing this?" "Well Stella, I need a knife from Bloom's kitchen to cut the dragon fruit. We need to stuff the fruit part in a little boat made of the skin. We'll treat the fruit like pieces of an orange and arrange them to make a flower in the dragon fruit skin. Then, we'll mix the ice and darkness, recite some words, and then pour it onto the fruit. Then, we'll feed it to Bloom who will then be healed." "Okay" Stella said, warily but also confusedly.

When Daphne finally returned with the darkness, they were ready. In the kitchen, Stormy, Stella, and Daphne went to work. Daphne cut the fruit and the skin just so, so that the fruit and skin looked like a Christmas tree. Then, Stormy mixed the ice and darkness together and she and Stella recited healing words, while Daphne got Bloom. She carried her out and sat her in a chair. Half awake, Bloom took the beautiful dragon fruit Christmas tree flower and ate the whole thing, throwing away the skin. Then, she went and laid on the couch.
After about an hour, Bloom woke up. "Wha- where, where am I?" Bloom asked, confused. "You're in your room Bloom. Stella and I are with you" Daphne said, reassuring her sister. Bloom was still very drowsy but she was okay. "Is she supposed to be like this Stormy?" Stella asked the supposedly reformed witch. "Yes. After what she's been through, yes. She's fine. This will wear off in like 15 minutes." Bloom turned and looked at Stormy. "You guys, why is she here?!" Bloom exclaimed. "Hey Bloom calm down" Daphne said "Stormy helped us wake you up. She saved you." "Yes Bloom I did. Icy and Darcy put a curse on you that made you sleep and be unable to be woken up. Your sister and Stella came and found me, actually they rescued me, and we saved you. Icy and Darcy have gone off by themselves and are plotting something big against you Bloom. You need to be prepared for the worst" Stormy explained. Bloom was shocked "okay um... Daphne?" "Bloom it's okay. She's telling the truth." Bloom stood up, wobbly at first but gained her balance, then walked over to Stormy. "Thank you" she said. "You're welcome. Bloom, I know we haven't had the best relationship before but, I'd like to transfer to Alfea, so I can fight them with you guys, and so I can be a better person." Bloom looked at Daphne and Stella, then back at Stormy and said "I think that can be arranged." They all hugged Stormy and Stormy smiled.

Then, Bloom realized that Serina was missing. "Hey guys, where's Serina?" "Don't worry Bloom. Daphne took her to Gardenia, to your parents, Mike and Vanessa." "She'll be safer there Bloom. Icy and Darcy could get to her faster if she was with Marion and Oritel so we sent her to Gardenia." "You both are so very right in doing so. She doesn't need to be exposed to this. Thank you." They hugged again. Then, they headed to Ms. Faragonda' office to not only tell her what happened, but to admit a new fairy.
