It had been a few days since Bloom had woken up and had gotten back into her classes and such. She had gotten back into her daily routine with no problems. Stormy has been enrolled at Alfea and was being watched closely. Maybe now Bloom could talk to Daphne.
One morning, Bloom woke up early. She intended to give herself enough time so that she could talk a bit with her sister before she had to go to class. Bloom grabbed a blueberry muffin and headed to Daphne's room.
"Bloom! It's so good to see you! I miss our mornings together." "Me too Daphne. I'm so sorry about everything you've gone through lately because of me. I'm sure you've not been taking it well" Bloom said, watching her sister's expressions. "Oh Bloom don't worry about me, I'm fine!" Daphne said, cheerily. Bloom could tell Daphne was hiding something by how happy she was. Daphne is a happy person but not usually that happy. "Daphne come on. I know you've been through some bad things lately. Talk to me." By now, the sisters were sitting down at Daphne's table in her kitchen. "Please tell me Daphne. I'm here now, talk to me." Daphne sighed and looked out her living room window, which also happened to be the sliding door. "Oh Bloom. I didn't think I'd get through it all. I mean after the thing with my Spriteix failing and all, I didn't know what to do. That kind of thing had never happened to me before. I thought I was a really strong fairy, but I guess not. I couldn't hold the Spriteix power Bloom. Yes I saved you, but I almost died. I'm not complaining about dying, I'd die for you in a heartbeat but I almost died because of the power. I didn't think there could or would be a power that would potentially do that to a fairy, you know?" Daphne was out of breath. She had said so much, so fast, and tears were welled up in her eyes. Bloom's heart broke seeing Daphne so upset. "Oh Daphne, I'm so sorry" Bloom said, standing up from the table and going over to hug her distraught sister. Daphne stood up and hugged Bloom back, melting into her sister. Daphne let tears fall down her face and she squeezed Bloom tighter, holding onto her one and only sister. They stood there, holding onto each other for what seemed like an eternity, not wanting to let go. It had been so long since they had spent sister time together and Daphne hadn't been able to let out her bottled up emotions. He had to keep them packed down to be able to deal with whatever came next. Sure she had the Winx and Roxy, "Roxy!", but Bloom was her flesh and blood sister. There was a difference between friends and family. But there was the saying "blood don't make you family." Daphne placed a teary kiss to her sister's check and pulled away, looking at Bloom with a fresh set of tears in her eyes. "I love you Bloom. So much" "I love you too Daphne" Bloom said, wiping her sister's tears away. "We really should eat" Bloom said, breaking the silence. Daphne laughed, blinking away the other tears and drying her cheeks "you're right. What do you want to eat? I have the usual if you want that, or we could have cereal, or we could, if you wanted, go down and eat with your friends?" "The usual is just what I've been wanting for days now. I miss our lazy mornings, eating whatever we want and talking all day about our problems. I love our routine." "Me too" Daphne said, smiling at Bloom from over the stove. Daphne began frying the bacon and making the egged while Bloom made the pancake batter. Bloom cooked the pancakes while Daphne finished the bacon and eggs. Then, Daphne got out a box of blueberry muffins from the fridge and set them on a plate and put them in the middle of the table. Bloom walked over to the TV and turned on the news. By now, the sun was rising and breakfast was ready. Bloom and Daphne ate their breakfast of pancakes, muffins, eggs, and bacon and watched the news while the sun rose on another beautiful day at Alfea. Bloom looked over at Daphne and smiled. Daphne smiled back. "I love you, so much Daphne. Thank you for never ceasing to make me amazing food and providing me with unconditional love and support and for always protecting me. I will always be here to do the same for you" Bloom said, reaching for Daphne's hand. "No problem Bloom. I'll always be here for you for whatever you need."When Bloom and Daphne were done with breakfast, they cleaned up the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. Then Bloom went to her classes. But all throughout her classes, all she could think about was her pride and joy, her daughter, Serina. Was she okay? Did her parents have the right materials for a baby? Of course they did, they know how to take care of a baby. They took care of her when Daphne brought her to them. "Serina is fine" Bloom reminded herself "she's got all of the fairies of Magix looking out for her." Bloom took a deep breath and tried to focus on her schooling. "I'll be there soon baby. Just hold on. Mommy's coming soon. I promise."
