Finally! Daphne was okay!

The Winx were elated that Bloom's sister, Daphne, was alive. Daphne was still weak from the ordeal but was getting stronger and gaining more power back each day. Arcadia gave specific instructions to Bloom and her friends of how to take care of Daphne.

The following week, Bloom woke up to Serina crying. Bloom groaned and rolled out of bed. She trudged, blurry eyed, to her daughter's crib.

"*yawns* what is it darling?" Bloom asked.

But Serina didn't look at Bloom. She continued to cry.

"Serina, honey, what's wrong?" Bloom asked again, a little more concerned.

She picked up Serina and looked her over. Then Bloom noticed a small welt forming on the side of Serina's forehead.

"Oh I found it" Bloom said, and whisked the welt away with her magic.

Serina looked up at Bloom and cooed. Bloom hugged Serina to her and put her down in the crib. Bloom yawned and walked back to her room. Daphne's room was just across the hall from Bloom's so Bloom wasn't worried. She climbed back in bed and soon fell asleep.

Mommy! Mommy! Help me!
What is it? Who's there?!
Mommy! Help me!
Serina!
Mommy!
The witches, they want me mommy. Help!!
Come to me mommy! Come...!

"Serina!" Bloom shouted.

She sat straight up in bed. Bloom was breathing heavily and sweating a lot. She threw off the covers and ran to Serina's crib again. But Serina was sleeping peacefully and the welt was still gone.

Bloom looked at the clock and noticed that it was only 10 minutes after the last time she was up. She sighed heavily and went back to bed again.

"I must be going crazy. With everything that's happened, I must be very jumpy. But it's okay. I'm okay and Serina is okay. So is Daphne."

Bloom's head hit the pillow with a ploof. Bloom turned her head, her cheek brushing the polyester nylon pillow case, and she smiled.

Bloom moved her legs around underneath the covers, through her silk nightgown and the cottony covers. She smiled and fell asleep, again.

Mommy, why didn't you help me?
What? You-you were fine, I-
Mommy, come to me... NOW
*gasps*
...
Serina, who is doing this to you?
White and brown
Wh-what?
White and brown, mommy. Hear me, come to me, please. It hurts. Mommy help me. The pain...
Serina, I'm coming!

Bloom jolted up from her sleep.

"White and brown? What is-has white and- oh. my. god. Icy and Darcy. DAPHNE!"

Bloom threw off the covers and ran across the hall to Daphne's room. She opened the door quietly and ran into the room.

"Daphne. Daphne, help me. Daphne wake up!"

Bloom began shaking Daphne profusely.

"Daphne!" Bloom's voice rising.

"Wha- Bloom! What is it?!"

"Something's wrong" Bloom's voice began to shake "something's wrong with... Serina" Bloom said, her voice shaking even more.

Daphne sat up in bed and put her hand on Bloom's arm.

"Bloom, what's wrong?"

"I think- I think Icy and Darcy are torturing Serina. I think they know I've had her and-and they are torturing her. She had a welt on the side of her head and I made it go away but then-"

Bloom was talking so fast, she didn't realize how badly she was shaking, and crying. Her arms were covered in dripping tears.

"Then Serina started... talking to me through my dreams, saying "mommy help me. I'm in pain" and I couldn't help her. It was terrible."

Bloom used her hands to cover her face. She began to cry, shaking terribly.

"Hey Bloom, it's okay. We'll fight off those witches and protect Serina. Nothing will happen to her I promise!"

Daphne stood up and hugged Bloom tightly.

Bloom wrapped her tear stained arms around Daphne and cried into her sister's shoulder.

"Thank you Daphne. What would I do without you?"

"Aww you're welcome Bloom" Daphne replied "and I don't know honestly. You and your friends would be exhausted that's for sure."

But Daphne knew that if Icy and Darcy were after Serina, there would be huge battles to fight, with lives lost, and many hardships to come. But she was very willing to fight for her sister and young niece.

Everyday, the Trix grow stronger.

"When the time comes to fight for that baby" Darcy began "we will be so powerful, those fairies won't know what hit them."

Icy and Darcy cackled in their hideout. The cackles echoed for miles, scaring all birds away.

War had begun.
