Morning came and so did light shower; by the afternoon it was sunny. Hiccup was reading more on the mysterious book he found in his father's studies. Toothless was laying on top of the roof taking in the sun's rays, when suddenly he got up began to bellow. Astrid was outside her hut training Stormfly on new hand signals when she heard toothless off the distance. The twins and Snotlout were in the dragon stables when they peeked their heads out the doorway to see what was going on. Hiccup quickly closed the book and hid it under his pillow as he went over to his window grabbing his telescope to find two dragons flying towards the edge.

It was Dagur The Deranged and Heather his sister. Putting down his scope he head out the door to greet them.

"Brother it's been ages that we've seen each other! As they landed their dragon near the stables entrance.

"It hasn't even been a month Dagur, and shouldn't one of you be at the island taking care of the tribe?" hiccup said with concern in his voice.

"Don't worry we learned our lesson with Savage, we had one of our elder healer take charge. Besides we need your help." he exclaimed. They looked at him and then to Heather.

"He's right, we need some help. Lately there has been large sightings of Scouldarn pods heading from their usual route. There making there way to the part of the ocean no one has explored." Heather pulled out a map from windshear's satchel. It was a copy of hiccup's map with all the islands they have discovered. She point at an area South from Dragon edge island.

"There's nothing there, just vast amount of ocean. Since it's too much for some of our dragons to fly without a break, it's easier to take the long way around." said hiccup looking at heather's map.

"Ok, so why are the Scauldrons heading toward that direction?" questioned Dagur.

Knuckle pressed on his lips." it could be to expand territory, or a new breeding ground." he tried to explain. Everyone looked at him

"Ok, we can go investigate, me, Heather, astrid, and Snotlout will go investigate. The rest will stay and keep an eye on things here." He said.

But before they could put Hiccups words into action. Toothless sense a strange feeling and began to run to the shore of the island. Same went with all the other dragons. Hiccup and the other tried to call back their dragons but didn't even listen. They ran after them with weapons ready.

When they arrived to the edge of the shore they saw of to the distance a Crimson blue Scauldron twice the size than an ordinary Scauldron. It began to swim forward. As it came in closer hiccup noticed a human lying face down on the back the dragon.

"Everyone weapons down their someone on its back." hiccup explained. He got on toothless and meet the Scauldron side By side he reached out and the Scauldron accepted his help. He look at the incautious human girl. She was thin and look injured all over he picked her up from the dragon's back and put her on toothless then flew back on shore were Heather and Astrid tended to her matted clothes and infected wounds.

After the girls finished they kept the young girl in Astrid's hut and went back to meet the guys who were waiting at the gathering table.

"How is she? Asked Fishlegs

"She'll be fine.must have been at sea for days with no good or water. They looked off to shore where the pod of Scauldron and the large one where waiting at the shallow bay.

" never seen a Scauldron that color or size, you think it like the whispering scream? Questioned Snotlout.

"It's possible, there's no other Scauldron leader like that in other pods. I guess we should give it a name." Hiccup said.

"Ohh, I know, deadly Scorcher? I bet it even spits hotter water." said said Tuffnut.

"How about the Smoldering Seas?" suggested Dagur.

"Smoldering Seas, smoldering like it breath, Seas because it swims in the oceans, ha, I like it!!!" Tuffnut said in an enthusiastic voice.

As they got familiar with the new dragon name there was still something on everyone's mind.
