You awoke just as you arrived at the house. More like a mansion than a house. You thought to yourself. You sat up only to see Jumin, maskless, sleeping against the window. You were struck by how handsome he was. But even handsome people can be monsters. I'll have to be careful.
Deciding it would be best to wake him up, you pondered on how best to do it. Placing a hand on his shoulder, you lightly shook it. He remained sleeping however. Next, you pawed at his cheek lightly.
"Noo, Elizabeth... Stop it..." He murmured.
Confused, you finally decided to you one of your very few Korean words to wake him up.
"Beulokolli" You said as you patted his hand. "Beulokolli"
You felt like an idiot, saying broccoli to this man you didn't know, but you hoped he wouldn't remember.
Broccoli? Is that dinner? Jumin thought as he slowly awoke. Instead of being in bed like he wished, he saw your face close to his. Surprised, he jerked back and knocked his head on the window.
"Ah!" He cried out as he rubbed his head. "Oh, we're home. Thank you for waking me. Please follow me."
Driver Kim opened the door and allowed Jumin to step out first. Turning around, he offered you his hand. Thankful for any assistance while walking in your tall heels, you took his hand. He lead you into his giant house and proceeded to give you a tour.
"This is the foyer... the pantry... the kitchen... the parlor..."
You simply nodded, pretending you knew what he was saying. Proceeding upstairs, he continued speaking to you in Korean, and eventually it became so frustrating to you that you placed a hand gently on his arm. Surprised, he jumped around to look at you.
"English." You simply stated.
"Oh... Oh!" Jumin's face turned red. Of course she doesn't know Korean. I'm such an imbecile. Speaking to her when clearly she doesn't know what's happening.
Switching over to English, Jumin started again, this time thinking to introduce himself.
"My name is Jumin Han. You may call me Jumin. You can feel safe with me, I won't hurt you. I will help you start your life again. Do not worry about anything while you are here. For now, this is your room," He pointed at the door in front of you. "I have some clothing in there that may fit you, but it is mine so it could be large. I will find better clothes for you tomorrow. There is a bathroom en suite, feel free to use it. The kitchen is also available for your use. My room is here." He pointed directly across the hall. "Just come in if you need anything. Good night... and..." Jumin backed up and rubbed the back of his head, unsure of how to proceed. "I'm sorry all of this happened to you." He quickly retreated to his own bedroom, embarrassed for no reason.
"T-thank you." You managed to stutter out before he shut his door. This was amazing. Better than amazing. You had done it. You had escaped, by sheer luck. He wasn't going to keep you here prisoner. He was going to let you be free! He was going to help you even! All while getting to stay in this mansion.
You retreated into your room, only to find a four poster king-sized bed with a sheer canopy. The room was mostly white, with gold accents. In all honesty, you weren't surprised or overwhelmed by this. Most of the "clients" you had before had been extremely wealthy and if you were sent out as their arm candy, they'd often take you to lavish places. But this was different. You weren't going to wake up to a creepy old man staring at you while you were forced to pose how he wanted. You weren't going to go back to the monster who had kept you captive for the last five years. You were going to be free. Provided he wasn't lying to you. Which he certainly could be. But that was a thought better left for another day.
Turning to the bed, you notice a pair of silk pajamas in grey. Must be his, you thought. Clearly, the pants weren't going to fit, but you decided to button up the top for your own silken nightgown.
I could... get used to this.
