As soon as you stepped foot over the threshold of your house something clicked in your mind, something you had been waiting for for the longest of times. Right then and there you knew you were done with the most damaging emotion you knew. Namjoon was pushing the misery from your heart and you had concluded that you would let him. No matter how far this would or wouldn't go. It was time to embrace some happiness and let yourself fall in love for the first time. In the end you were the only one prolonging the pain you were feeling, so it made sense that you were also the only one who could put an end to it. And this was it. This was the end. It didn't matter that Namjoon would be leaving in the near future because you knew the feelings that were taking root in your heart would last an eternity.

'So how was it?' Your father asked, leaning against the door frame of the living room. A large grin spread across his face at the sight of you looking so blissfully happy. You blinked at him for a few seconds, trying to find the words to describe how you were feeling. There weren't any good enough.

'Just...wow.' You finally stammered, the adrenaline in your veins causing you to trip over every syllable you spoke. You watched in shock as your father wiped a tear from his eye and then walked over to him. 'Why are you crying?' You asked, hugging him tightly.

'I'm just so happy to see the light come back into your eyes. I thought I'd never see them glittering like that again.' He hugged you back, just as tightly.

'Awww Dad, stop, you're gunna make me cry.'

'Sorry sweetie. Don't cry anymore okay? You've done enough crying to last you a life time. It's time to start smiling now.' He pulled you away from him slightly to look at you, squeezing gently at the top of your arms.

''Kay.' You smiled at him, a proper, honest smile, another feature he had almost given up on seeing ever again.

'Where's that boy been all these years huh?' He asked, a laugh appearing in his voice now.

'Better late then never I guess.' You replied.

That night your dreams that had lay dark and vacant for years became full of colour, the colours of Namjoon.

 ------

The next week faded into a blurry, happy mist of you and Namjoon. He would come into the coffee shop every morning and spend an hour or so with you. He'd help you to set everything up, make you smile and laugh, drink the coffee you made for him and then he'd leave and you'd spend the remainder of your day in some happy daydream. It had become your routine and it made you completely content.

Arrangements for meeting again outside of the coffee shop were your main topic of conversation and you and Namjoon talked often about where you would go when he was less busy with work.

It was on a particularly cold Friday evening that your dream like ideas became reality.

You were stood at your calendar, marking off another day. You counted quickly, 11 days since you had first lay eyes on Namjoon in the flesh. 11 days in which you hadn't felt the full weight of your misery. 11 days of blissful happiness. 11 days of a brighter world with Kim Namjoon.

Your phone lit up on your bed and you heard the ringtone you had set especially for him. Miss Right, the song he had recommended for making you smile on the first day you had met him.

'Are you home right now?' He asked as soon as you answered, giving you no opportunity to say a word.

'Yeah, why?' You responded automatically.

'Okay well, get ready. I'm taking you out.' Your eyes shot up to your clock at his words. It was 10pm and you were already dressed in your warm and cosy pyjamas.
