It was great and you had a front row seat. What a great climax to the story about the 4th phase of the 287th hunter exam! A great predator like Hisoka was taken unaware by Gon. What made it even better was the surprise of a third character, Geretta, who preyed upon Gon. you watch as his tag and Hisoka's are taken away. It was upsetting, but you knew Hisoka was watching from somewhere and would not be happy about someone else messing with his prey.

As if on queue Hisoka walks out and with a thud Geretta falls in front of Gon along with the two tags. you listen intently to their conversation, very pleased over how Hisoka allowed Gon to take the tags back.

"Wait" you turn your attention back to Gon. What would he do this time? "If your not taking your badge then why are you here?"

"To say congratulations, as it turns out he was my target. Which means i don't need mine anymore." you smile at Hisoka, how wonderful. When you finish here, you really need to go to your Mirror World and record their characters. Granted Hisoka is a wild card and will be quite hard to label.

"Well neither do I." you see Gon's frustration plainly on his face. He must be very upset over this.

"Don't be like that. You owe me one now, you can pay me back whenever you like. so long." Hisoka begins to walk away. suddenly Gon gets up, holding out Hisoka's tag.

"I don't owe you or anybody. Here take it back." you finish processing what just happened and stifle a laugh.

"I refuse. I've decided to let you live for now," Hisoka finishes walking back and stands right in front of Gon. "And i plan to let you continue living for as long as it suits me." maybe you should step in...no. you don't interfere with the story unless absolutely necessary. Unless the story takes a turn for the boring or bad ending. "Until someday you become truly worthy of killing." you feel your frown deepen. A wild card indeed.

Suddenly Gon is a few feet further away, Hisoka had punched him. you restrain your urge to move. you like Gon, if it gets any worse You'll move.

"I will take it back, but only when you can punch me in the face like that." Hisoka begins to walk away again. "In the meantime you just hold on to it for me." He walks away and his laughter fades away with him. After a minute you walk out to Gon.

"Hello Gon." you say in a monotone voice, crouching to help him up. "I wasn't expecting this outcome."

"(Y/N), you were watching me?" He grabs your hand weakly, still having the effects of the tranquilizer and Hisoka's punch.

"Yes, i told you i was watching something interesting didn't I?"

"So you knew this would happen?" He looks down in defeat, like he was the only one who didn't see it coming.

"Not really, i knew about Geretta but nothing else." you watch his eyes change to that of defeat to those of anger and determination. "I thought of helping you in the end with Hisoka but you don't seem like the type to want help." you walk with him until you reach a hollow tree. "I suggest you rest here for the night until the tranquilizer is out of your system."

"Thanks." He crawls in to the hollow and sits down. you toss him his tag with the fishing rod on it.

"That one isn't charity like Hisoka's so no talking back and accept it." you watch him nod reluctantly and you walk off in the direction Hisoka was in. After a while you see him waiting near a large tree.

"Did you enjoy the show?" Of course he would notice you in the end, your own blood lust got out a few times after all. you walk straight up to him. A resounding smack echoed the forest for a moment. Hisoka stood still for a second, processing what just happened. you had used ko and slapped him hard across his face, of course he used his own nen to soften the blow but a red mark was still present on his cheek.

"It was a great climax, but i still wouldn't feel right without hitting you once." you cross your arms and glare at the now smiling clown. "I like Gon quite a bit as well and if his character changes because of you, i won't let it go easily. You have no idea how rare it is to find people like him in this lame place referred to as real life." you take a minute to inhale after not taking a breath through your rant.

"But i saw him first, Gon is my toy." Hisoka replies, dramatically rubbing his cheek like it was the worst pain in the world but still smiling.

"I have been watching him since the beginning of phase one. You had your eye on him since the second part of it, am i right?" you huff at him. It wasn't a lie either, ever since Killua began to talk with him you had been watching. "Besides, i don't really care if you play with him as a toy as long as his character stays the same."

"And what character would that be, hmm?" you turn your back to him and grin.

"Gon is a rare character that every story desperately needs. he's a Brave Hero."you pull your book of fairy tales out of your bag and trace shapes over the leather cover. "You know, i find this world so boring and twisted. It's people like Gon and his friends, Ilumi and the Zoldycks, and other rogue characters like you that make it seem like there is actually a bit of color in all this blandness." you quickly turn to him once more and glare at him again. "So don't ruin it for me, i won't be able to beat you in a fight. I'm not a fool," you begin to walk past him. "But i can make things a lot harder for you for the rest of your life before you kill me." you get a steps away before you hear him speak.

"I think that the slap you gave me counts so do you mind giving me my tag?" you stop moving and turn around. you reach into your bag and pull out the tag with a deck of cards on it. you toss it over and he catches it effortlessly.

"Tell Illumi i will be in my Mirror World til my time limit is up. HE can trade me something and I'll give him his." you were already tired of your game and just wanted to leave but there are still a few more days.
