"Ryuga! I called, the white-haired boy was late to practice again. When he finally showed up he looked kinda upset and angry. "Ryuga, what's wrong?" I asked

"Nothing!" He snapped,

"o-ok" I took a deep breath, and began to aim my launcher trying to take my mind off of the anger Ryuga had,

"Madeline, you got it wrong, straighten your arm and don't pull with so much force." Ryuga barked at me,

"Y-yes, sir."

"Don't call me 'sir.'"

"Yes, Ryuga." I did as I was told and my bey went faster than it did the first time. "Wow!" I exclaimed,

"I told you, now do it again, this time, focus on not moving your hand when you pull the ripcord." I nodded and did that,

"Darn it!" I messed up,

"Again." "

ok." I did it again, and again for two hours.

"You STILL don't get it! You must put passion into it! Pull the cord with PASSION!" Ryuga yelled, he was frustrated,

"i-i'm sorry..."

"...Just ignore me! I have a lot on my mind..."

"Is there something I can do?"

"Probably not." I walked up to him and hugged him, it was all I could do,

"...what are you doing?"

"Hugging you." He groaned,

"I don't like hugs, get off."

"Fine!" I took my stance again and we continued practice.

About an hour later I was walking to my job, I worked as a barista at a local coffee shop. I saw Ryuga sitting at a table, he looked like he was stressed.

"Hello Ryuga, you look a little stressed, can I help in any way?" I asked, he just glared at me, "I-I'm sorry I'll just leave you alone..." I told him and started to walk off,

"Wait." He sighed,

"Look, I know you want to help me, but I don't think you can, but I will tell you since you want to know so badly," I smiled at him. "I am just confused, Gingka and the others want to be my friend, but I don't understand why, all I was was a jerk to them, actually I was worse than a jerk, you saw what I did, you are only a year younger than me... I don't know how you are not scared of me, everyone is..." He sighed, I hugged him, he flinched at the sudden embrace but I just held him tighter,

"Ryuga, you shouldn't be nervous, if they want to be your friend, they want to leave everything you did behind. I think that is great, just be their friend, I am nervous around you, because you have a temper sometimes, but not because of what you have done, I have forgiven you, and so have the others!" I smiled at him, although I wish he would try to be my friend also, he was just my instructor, but he was only a year older than me.

He looked at his shoes, "you have?"

"Yea, I have." He nodded. "I would stay longer but I have to get to work." I started to walk away, but he grabbed my wrist,

"Meet me at Bey hill at sundown." He whispered and walked away.

"O-Ok."

After my shift I ran to the hill where I would meet Ryuga, it was almost the sunset. Why did he want me to come here? When I reached the top of the hill Ryuga was waiting for me, why couldn't he be early to practice?

"I'm here!" I said and sat beside him, "What did you need?" After a bit of silence, he spoke up,

"I wanted to ask why you hugged me."

"...You seemed stressed, and it looked like you needed one." I responded,

"Thank you."

"Your welcome? Hold on, who are you? And what did you do with Ryuga?" I asked playfully, he chuckled, picked me up, and put me on his lap. "R-Rygua?" I blushed

"I did need a hug, thank you." He wrapped his arms around me and put his head on my shoulder, my face grew redder. What was he doing? I started shaking, I was so nervous, was he going to kill me?! "Why are you so nervous? Relax."

"T-this is just not like you, I-I am not used to being hugged, especially by you." He laughed again,

"I like hugs... but only when you hug me."

"Why only me?"

"...Because I love you." A light blush tinted his cheeks,

"Y-you do?" he nodded,

"It's fine if you don't feel the same-"

"I-I do!" He looked me in the eyes, his golden eyes sparkled.

"You do?" I nodded, "T-then, wi-will you be my girlfriend?"

I nodded, "I would love to." He smiled and kissed my lips softly.

"Good." I smiled and hugged him tightly, this time he hugged me back, "I love you..." I whispered,

"I love you too."
