The day is finally over and I plop down on my bed and take a long breath. I think I'm sitting there for about thirty minutes until my growling stomach forces me to speak up,

"MOOOOOOOM!" I yell through the house, lazily.

"WHAT?" She yells back from across the house.

"WHATS FOR DINNER?" I sit up.

"I haven't made anything." My mom steps into my room, folding up a blanket that she just removed from the dryer.

"Can we just have ice cream?" I smile softly as she hands me the warm blanket. I set it on the bed and stare back up at her,

"Ice cream for dinner?" I nod, happily. "I mean, yeah I guess so."

"YAS! I love you, mum!" I jump up and hug her tightly before she walks out of the room.

"Be ready in ten minutes." I sigh happily and change into sweats and a tank top, a bit more comfortable. I redo my hair into a ponytail again, but before I leave, I stop to take one last look around my room. I'm not the type to keep pictures, but the few I have are of the twins and I. The smallest picture right by my bed is a picture of Niall and I at the party where I met the boys. I sit back down on my bed and pick up the delicate little picture frame. I stare into Niall's eyes and smile back at his grin. I really miss him, but I just never talk to him. I wonder if he misses me? I feel the same pang in my stomach just thinking about him, it hurts.

"C'mon Jen!" I hear mom yelling into my room.

"Be right ther-" my voice then cracks a tiny bit, so I have to put down the picture and look away. With one last breath, I push off the bed and walk out the door.

"You okay, sweetheart?" Mom asks me, it's been a silent drive up until now.

"Yeah," I stare at the road ahead.

"Jen, what's wrong?" She asks, concerned.

"I uh.." I sigh deeply and look down, "I just miss Niall."

"Aw, sweetie then talk to him! You know you can talk to him any time you want!" I mess around with my fingers for a bit before responding,

"I know, it's just..." I sigh, "I don't know if he'd want to talk to me." She pulls into the parking lot and we sit there for a second,

"What do you mean?"

"Just think about it. Marcel was a close friend of his.. And he left Niall to be all... Well popular. And now I'm best friends with them and I feel like I'm completely ignoring Niall, I don't mean to but it just happens.." Mom opens the door and steps out of the car.

"C'mon we'll talk more inside." So I open my door and we walk in. The cool air is finally warming up, which means summer is finally back. Well, spring. I can't wait for summer though. We order our ice cream, I got chocolate chip cookie dough, and we sit down at a small booth that's only big enough for two.

"Honey, Niall has never been the type of person to hold a grudge, and-"

"Yeah mom, but this is different." I stick a spoonful of ice cream into my mouth.

"Just talk to him. I'm sure he'd love to talk to you again," she smiles warmly before taking a bite of her mint chocolate chunk ice cream. I sigh and stare down at my almost empty bowl, I have suddenly lost my appetite. "Sweetie, you need to eat." I laugh a bit and take another bite of the refreshing treat.

We finish our meal and drive back home. After I finish my shower and all of that, I sit down on the edge of my bed, staring at the picture of Niall and I. I will talk to him tomorrow.
