Chapter 14: Raise your glass

Matt’s POV

5 months and 12 days...

I let go of myself and made her feel all the love that I have for her.

I gave everything I got just to make her fall... but it’s still a one way love, up until now.

A friend told me na tama lang na ipaglaban ko kung sino talaga yung mahal ko.

Pero alalahanin ko rin daw, na may stoplight... kapag pula na ang kulay, ‘wag akong magbulag-bulagan.

Kailangan ko raw matuto tumigil kung kalian kailangan... dahil walang magandang idudulot ito kundi kapahamakan.

Hindi ako dumalaw ngayon sa kanila, I bonded with my friends na hindi ko na masyadong nakakasama eversince I started to court her... I really devoted myself kasi... and really missed these guys so much.

We run our bike on different trails this morning and after lunch, swimming naman. Ngayong gabi nagkayayaan kaming mag-inom sa isang private bar at ako na naman ang napagdiskitahan ng dalawang ‘to...

Job: You really lost your swag for women, Matt. Haha!

Matt: She’s no ordinary, man! (I countered him)

Job: It’s almost half a year and you visit her not less than thrice a week, right? Now tell me... who will not fall for that? Not unless you’re not really into that person.

Matt: So... what are you trying to imply, Job? Na wala akong pag-asa? Na hindi niya ako type? (Medyo asar kong tanong)

Job: I don’t know man... I’m just trying to be rational. You know I got a point...

Matt: Shut that fucking mouth, man!

Ivan:  Hey! Hey... You two... Cool down, ok? We’re here to have fun.

Matt: Sorry... Sorry, Bro. (paghingi ko ng pasensiya kay Job). It’s just that nahihirapan din kasi ako.

How could I be rational kung ganitong mahal na mahal ko, Bro?

Ivan:  Baka naman hindi pa nakaka-move on dun sa ex niya, yung boyfriend ngayon ni Maj.

Matt: She told me... wala na raw... I really don’t know...

Ivan:  Wala ba siyang pinapakitang sign na may feelings na din siya sa’yo? Kahit kaunti lang.
