Chapter 40: All about that bass

Sarah’s POV

 

Usually, my mall tours started by 5 or 6 PM.

That’s why ‘Viva Records’ scheduled my mall tour in Alabang Town Center (ATC) by 6PM.

It was already posted months ago on the mall premises.

But weeks before the tour while Matt & I are talking over the phone, he said that my family should have dinner on their abode, after my tour in ATC which is just a 15 minutes drive to their subdivision.

I didn’t agree with his idea since the tour is already set to start by 6PM, so it will end roughly by 9PM and the dinner will not be possible if that’s the case.

But he did not gave in, he told me that it is high time that both our family should have a get together, at least in a form of dining together. So I couldn’t argue anymore and promised him to do everything to make the dinner possible.

After several talks with Boss Vic, he finally gave in.

It is not of my character to push something to Boss Vic concerning my work, but this time I have to...

ATC Mall Tour

 

He will be in BGC to support his friend Marlon, on his car racing show for ‘Globe’ promo.

But he told me that he’ll be in their house before 6PM to help Tita Glena on the dinner preparation. He’s really nervous and keep on asking me about Mommy and Tita’s favourite food.

Sarah: Hey, relax... Everything will be fine.

Matt: I just want this night to be perfect, you know... Don’t tell me you’re not nervous, like I am?

Sarah: I am... Ayaw lang kitang sabayan.

Matt: Now, I’m having second thought if this really a good idea. I think, we’re not that prepared...

Sarah: Haha!

Matt: Tingnan mo ‘to! Tumatawa ka pa diyan.

Sarah: Wala, natatawa lang ako. Come to think of it, magdi-dinner lang naman tayo kasama sila, hindi ka pa naman mamamanhikan---

Matt: Gusto mo na ba? Sabihin mo lang... para makatakbo pa ako sa bilihan nang ‘ring’.

Sarah: Sira ka! Nagbibiro lang ako, huy!

Matt: Ba’t nga pala hindi sasama si Tito?

Sarah: Dadalaw yung boyfriend ni Ate Cheng ih, alam mo na... walang bantay.

The mall show went well. The crowd was amazing, iba rin yung level nang energy ko, ewan ko lang kung napansin nila. Yung thought kasi na nagpe-perform ka sa hometown nang mahal mo, iba... Samahan pa nang dinner maya-maya, ayun! Full-charged ang battery ko.

Past 7PM na kami nakalabas ng mall, medyo nahirapan kasi yung security ayusin yung set-up ng rails to ensure na buo pa akong makakalabas ng mall, haha!
