Gavin screamed thrashing around. He was being dragged away from Ray, away from who he loved. "Shut up!" Dan yelled, causing Gavin to stop screaming. Instead Gavin looked around. He was in some hallway, passing room after room. At the end of the room was a door. Authorized personal only. They pushed in and Gavin shrieked. In the room was a chamber. By now, Gavin's wings were gone. "Stop it!" He shrieked, pushing against them. George just shoved him harder causing Gavin to stumble into the chamber. The door automatically locked behind him. "Let me out!" Gavin yelled, banging on the walls. The chamber was the size of a small room, only a bit narrower. "Don't worry, you won't die yet. The king wants to be here with Ray to see that." Ronald said, leaving the room. They followed. Gavin screamed and hit and punched and cursed. Nothing helped. Gavin sat down quietly, slumped against the wall. "Ray..."He whispered, before falling asleep.

Ray woke up in a bright white room. People in masks milled around him. Ray tried to sit up, struggling. He was held down, strapped down by his wrists and ankles to a table. He was on his stomach, wings out and spread wide. The king sat in a chair beside him, watching his every move. Ray tried to move his wings but failed. "It's amazing, really. I never knew a creature like you could exist." The king said, staring at Ray's wings. Ray grunted. Doctors came over, measuring and feeling his wings. Ray said nothing, talking got you no where. The doctors were careful with his wings, gently doing what they were told. They injected things into Ray's back and wings. Some hurt, some didn't. Ray felt like curling up in a ball and crying. He didn't like feeling like this. Like he was an experiment, a test subject. He was a human being. "There. Last thing." The doctor said, sticking the last needle into Ray's wings. They came to life, giving Ray the mobility. "We just wanted to run some tests to figure out your DNA. It really is mind boggling. We've never seen anything like it!" They said, and Ray realized there were scientists. "Well, figure it out." The king said, getting Ray up. He bound his wrists together. "Put your wings away." Ray glared at the king, wings still full extended. "Put them away. If you know what's good for you." Ray kept glaring as his wings tucked back into his skin. He dragged him along, down a long corridor. At the end was a door that said authorized personal only. The king marched in with Ray. The knights were there, big surprise. George barricaded the door and Ronald handcuffed Ray's ankles and wrists to a chair. Dan stepped aside to reveal a chamber. When Ray saw what was inside, he screamed.
