Gavin was locked inside, slumped against the floor. "What did you do to him?!" Ray shrieked, looking at them with a panicked face. "Nothing. He's asleep." Dan said, hitting a button. An air horn went off in the chamber, causing Gavin to jump up. He looked around confused at first. Then he saw Ray. "Ray!" Gavin yelled, but Ray couldn't hear him. "I thought you should watch him die." The king says with a sick smile. "Don't. You. Dare. Fucking. Touch. Him." Ray spat out, words filled with venom. They laughed. "You can't save him now." The chamber began to slowly fill with water. Gavin looked at Ray, panicked. His eyes were screaming, searching Ray's eyes for help. The water was at his ankles. Gavin searched the room for a way out. He banged the walls, trying to break them. The water was at his knees. His waist. "Stop! Stop!" Ray shrieked, thrashing around, trying to break free. No one said anything. It crept slowly up his chest, advancing towards his neck. Ray screamed and screamed. "LET HIM GO! LEAVE HIM ALONE! TAKE ME INSTEAD!" No one answered Ray's cries. The water crept up Gavin's neck and ears. Before his mouth went under he mouthed. "I love you Ray." And Gavin was submerged under the water. "NO!" Ray yelled. Anger filled his entire body, and he wanted to save, no needed to save Gavin. And nothing would stand in his way. Adrenaline pumped in his blood, flowing through his entire body. With new found strength, Ray broke the chains and his wings flew up. Dan screamed, advancing towards Ray. Ray knocked him aside and stormed towards the chamber. Nothing would stop him from saving Gavin. George attacked next, Ray flinging him to the wall. Ronald charged, knife in hand. Ray spun, grabbing his collar and throwing him against Dan who was attacking again. The knife barely hit Ray's arm. Ray flew at the king who blocked the chamber. He attacked him, punching him in the face. The king held up a gun. Ray didn't freeze. He grabbed the knife he had dropped and ran at the king. He shot Ray in the shoulder, Ray bit back a scream, staggering. He didn't stop as he charged the king, thrashing the knife angrily. He cut the king's arm that held the gun. Dan leaped on Ray's back, being flung off by his wings. Ray spun around, back to the chamber so he was facing them. He had knife in one hand, gun in the other. "I told you. Don't. Fucking. Touch. Gavin." Ray spun back around and shot the glass chamber, causing it to shatter. Water rushed out, knocking them off their feet. Ray flew, grabbing Gavin's lifeless body. He flew towards the door, ignoring the shouts of the knights and the king. He broke open the door and flew. He flew down hallways, taking different turns. Right left, left right. He soared past doctors and guards and scientists, all screaming and yelling. The castle was in panic and chaos. Blood seeped from Ray's shoulder. He winced, and didn't let it stop him. He flew upstairs, no idea where he was going. There was a room with two paths. Ray took the left one. It lead to a bathroom. Ray flew in, locking the door. He didn't hesitate to give Gavin CPR. He heard heavy footsteps and yelling. "Gavin please!" Ray croaked out, squeezing Gavin. He choked and opened his eyes. "Ray? Are we dead?" Ray smiled and kissed Gavin. "No." Then he heard louder voices. Ray picked Gavin up, holding him tightly. There was a small window. "Gavin, climb out and fly." Ray whispered, showing Gavin. "But what about you?" "I'll be fine. Go!" Ray yelled, pushing him towards the window. That's when Gavin noticed the blood seeping from Ray's shoulder and the cut along his arm. "GO!" Ray yelled, pushing Gavin out as they began banging on the door. Gavin fell slightly, before opening his wings. "Ray?!" Gavin whispered, staring at the open window. The door was about to break, and Ray knew it. The door gave away, wood flying. Ray screamed, feeling a knife whiz at him and find a home in his leg. Ray shrieked, jumping out the window. Gavin saw him jump, spreading his wings like a majestic dragon, and take off. Shouts were heard from the window, and shots were fired. A bullet grazed Gavin's arm, he yelped in surprise. "Go Gavin!" Ray yelled, flying beside him. Ray's wings were stronger, and he could fly faster. Ray grabbed Gavin, pulling him along. They were soon out of range. Ray felt himself get dizzy, and his vision started to blur. "Gavin?" Ray yelled as they descended. "What?" "I love you." Ray said as the reached the ground. Gavin was about to say I love you too as Ray crumpled to the ground.
