Chapter 6

Chapter 6~

"Stop it!"

Jessicas POV

The elevator door opened and Beast Boy ran up to me. His eyes slowly sank down towards Terra, the sadness in his eyes growing the longer he looked at her. He looked at her with such love, it made me jealous. I wanted to tell him when she wakes up she'll remember but maybe he'd ignore me. I wouldn't be important, he'd only care for Terra, and that I wouldn't be able to stand.

He took her from my arms and laid her on the couch. "What happened?"

"I used a strong recovery spell on her..." I answer. Beast Boys eyes widened at me and he took my hands. He starred at my hands for a while then let go.

"I know how to wake her!" he said standing up.

"You cant."

"Why not?" he asked eyeing me.

"If you wake her up the spell wont work. You want her to remember don't you?" I blurted out, immediately regretting my sarcastic and harsh tone. Beast Boys eyed widened again then drifted towards Terra. He softly caressed her cheek then kissed her forehead. My heart began to ache, and my stomach begin to churn. This must be jealousy. 

"Come on lets go down to the shore." he said looking at me.

"What? Why?"

"You will figure it out... Abbie stay here and care for Terra." Beast Boy told her then took my hand, leading me to the roof.

"This isn't the shore." I said cautiously looking down. My foot slipped and I pulled my body back trying to keep my composure. However, before I could regain my balance I felt a force on my back pushed me forward, off the roof. I looked up and saw Beast Boy starring at me from the roof, just watching me. I thrusted my hands up and water from the ocean blasted up catching me.

Beast Boy meant me at the shore us both soaking. I hit his shoulder angrily. "You were gonna let me die, Jerk!"

Beast Boy laughed. "No I knew you had powers, powers to save yourself!" I took a deep breath and turned to the sun setting. A cool breeze overwhelmed my body, the water still dripping off me was catching the cold weather more easily, causing me to shiver. An arm reached around my waist a pulled me close before I stumbled. I was embarrassed for getting Beast boy wet but his body heat and my pounding heart was working to quickly heat me up. 

I just meant him not too long ago, but... he's the sweetest guy I've ever meant.

"I have proof you know..."

"Proof of what?" he turned to face me, his face was so close I could feel his breath on me, but his grip on my waist loosened.

"Proof that what happened isn't my fault and it wont happen again." I said hugging myself now that Beast Boys warmth was gone.

"I'm sure you do." he said smiling and patting my head. I was so embarrassed and flustered at that moment. I wanted to be angry that in a few days I wouldn't exist to him and all he'll care about is Terra but I couldn't be. I haven't been with him long enough too deserve his love... not like Terra does.
