Chapter 8

Chapter 8~

"I'm Fine. I lied."

Beast Boys POV

Terra rushed down to the beach for help and I stayed with Jessica who was gritting her teeth trying not to cry.

"Maybe a joke will make you feel better." I laughed trying to lighten the mood. I began my joke but Jessica interrupted me.

"Shut up Beast Boy," she continued gritting her teeth then growled in pain. It hurt me to see her in this much pain... I wish they would hurry up.

"What hurts?" I asked her brushing my hand across her cheek trying to help.

She looked like she was about to cry. "My heart," she whimpered almost silently. I was about to say something else but the team showed up. The anger on Jessica's face had now melted away and Raven came over hovering her hands over Jessica's ankle.

"I have to pop it back into place." Raven said.

"No d-" Jessica was interrupted by a pop sound and she started crying and thrashing around.

"I have to do it again but she has to stay still." Raven said looking at me. What did she want me to do? Oh. I walked over to Jessica and pinned her arms down sitting on her stomach. I heard another pop and Jessica whimpered.

"You okay?" Robin asked.

"F- fine." Jessica answered shakily. She stood up and groaned in pain then her ankle began to glow blue and she seemed better.

"What happened?" Star asked flying over.

"I healed myself," Jessica answered confidently, then turned to raven. "Thanks Raven!"

"No problem..." Raven said then disappeared into her room.

"I'm glad your okay!" I said placing a hand on Jessica's shoulder.

"Whatever." Jessica growled pushing me out of the way then stormed out. A sudden shock of pain on my cheek blurred my vision and caused me to stumble. 

"What was that for!?"

"You hurt her!" Abbie growled.

"How?" I growled back.

"I don't know but you better find out. Put one and one together," she scolded me then followed Jessica out.

Jessica's POV

I went out walking in the town thinking about life... that is... until someone tackled me.

"Gotcha!" Someone cheered. Flash. What does he want? How does he know of me? And why did he tackle me?

I picked myself up brushing the dirt off myself. "May I help you?"

"Yeah BB sent me out here to find you he wants to talk." He said dusting off his hands.

"About what?" I asked eyeing him.

"I don't know." he shrugged.

"Tell him if he wants to talk to find me himself." I said then turned to walk away.

"Found you." BB grinned appearing in front of me.

I folded my arms. "What?"

"Well I was thinking.. you saw me and Terra kiss then you got mad..." he started. My face went red did he figure it out?

"And I realized why you got mad. . ." he smiled at me softly.

"You did?" I asked, I liked Beast boy but he isn't very good at taking hints, I don't think it's likely he'd figure it out on his own.

  He nodded. "You don't want me to date Terra because shes your sister and me and you are friends and you're afraid that it will ruin our friend ship." At that point I felt someone had smacked me with a big bag of Friend Zone.

"Idiot..." I mumbled pushing passed him.

He ran up to me. "Look Jessica I'm sorry but I don't know why your so mad," he said giving me puppy dog eyes.

"BB its because I- I...." I felt a sharp pain on my face and stumbled backwards.

"Warn Robin," a dark figure said, Beast Boy tried to rush to my side but was back handed by the shadow. Slade. My terrible love life could wait, we needed to warn Robin.
