You quickly slip on some thick jeans, a sweatshirt, flannel, and some cute fall boots.
Leaving your hair down in messy waves, you put on a grey beanie and called it good.
You tied your shoes and ran down the stairs, seeing Shawn looking around your living room at all of the pictures of you when you were a kid.
Sighing, you head over to him. "Shawn, I looked terrible in those pictures!" You groaned laughing.
"Babe, you were so cute. Well, I mean, and still are." He chuckles and kissed your cheek.
"So where are we going?" You ask him.
"The carnival, I figured it'd be a good first date." He grins.
"Wow, real original Mendes." You laugh following him out of the door.
He opens your car door for you making you blush. "Thank you." You grin.
"Anything for you." He dramatically smiles and jogs around to the other side, getting into the driver's seat.
"Can I have the aux?" You ask him. He nods his head and hands the cord to you, you plugging in your phone.
You start to shuffle the "now trending" radio.
After listening to "Sorry not Sorry" by Demi Lovato you hear Shawn's song "There's Nothing Holding me Back." Playing.
You start teasing him about it as you sing along. A grin appears on his lips as he hears you sing.
"Babe, who was this song about?" You asked. Honestly you had always wondered but you never remembered to ask him.
"It's about you, Sam. I actually wrote this song about you way before we talked. I've liked you for a while, Sam." His face grows serious as his eyes look at me, giving me the most adorable look.
You grin sloppily as your heart melts. "You're so cute oh my gosh."
